Hey, long-time lurker here. I live in Western Oregon and am an author.

My first foray into IH was a pair of 666-XHS a couple of years ago. I loved everything about the jeans except the cut, which I merely liked, and the lack of breathability. Due to the latter issue, I sold them. I came back to IH this summer when I picked up a pair of 777S-21od during the summer sale. Began wearing them a couple of months ago and, wow, I really love the 21 oz denim and the 777 cut. I liked that pair so much that I snagged a pair of the standard model 777S-21 for the upcoming Indigo Invitational, and also have a pair of 777S-142bb on the way. Super-excited to fade those.

Oregon is a good jeans-wearing state. Winters are cool and rainy, and the humidity makes the air feel colder than it actually is. Summers are hot and dry, and it's much easier to wear jeans in dry heat than in humid heat. I wore my 12 oz Sugar Canes when it was 111 F (44 C) this past June and felt OK in them, provided that I didn't stray from the shade.

Hello all - finally jumped into the forum after buying a couple items this year (finally).

Got the  IHM-35-BLK and IHTL-1213-BLK. Took me a bit to get the sizing down but I think I'm about dialed in finally.

Unfortunately IH top blocks don’t work with my sizing.
Graham and I were sending packages back and forth for about a month but nothing worked. Ended up finding another brand that works beautifully for linebacker sized men

Good afternoon all, EdH here. I live in Gloucestershire, UK, but have lived in Leamington Spa, Coventry, Guildford, Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the UAE and Muscat in Oman. Got family in the UAE, USA and UK.

My only IH purchase to date is a IHSH-312-IND but I am looking for an excuse to get some denim. Intending to lose some weight around my middle this year - aren't we all in January? - which may provide a good reason for a little wardrobe refresh. I will need to try them on in person though as I powerlift so I need a roomy top block and thighs to accommodate my oversized butt. Also need to let the wallet recover from Christmas, so plenty of time to figure out why the wife and I need to travel to Portsmouth, London or Manchester and, hey, while we're here we can just swing by a store I want to pop into real quick…

                    Look forward to getting involved.

                    Take the dive...

Good to have you here! 888 cut will be the place to start, the 1955 and 634 are other options depending on your waist/thigh ratio. There are some lufters who can get into 777’s too. Of course, personal taste plays a role.

While I understand the desire to try in person, IH (and the forum), have a lot of competence in finding the right fit for folks. In addition next day delivery and free returns in the UK make life easier.

Cheers neph. I was thinking the 888s are the way to go over the 777s as I prefer a higher rise. Size charts for the 888s look comparable to a pair that fit me ok already. Problem I find is that if I accommodate the thighs then the waist will be too baggy, but if I get something that fits the waist (or will give to fit the waist) then the thighs never quite get to comfortable.

But I’m in no rush. Got a couple of pairs of raw denim on the go with plenty of evo left in them. It was trying to make sense of my wardrobe by reducing to fewer, better pieces that started me down the rabbit hole that led here in the first place. After coveting Iron Heart stuff for this long - I’ve been lurking here and eyeing up the website for a good year or so - I can wait a bit longer! (Having said that the shirt is so great that I am now understanding what I’ve been missing!)

Depending on your sizing you may be in a tough spot. I can't fit into any of the normal runs of 634 or 888 anymore with a 35" waist and 26-27' thighs due to my my 43" hip/butt. I would recommend simply measuring your best fitting pair according to IH measurements and talk to the team via customer live chat. When I was going through several attempts, Graham was pulling stock and measuring everything, just ask and remember to do the measurements on the top blocks as that is where you will most likely end up having some issues as a lifter.

If you find nothing works - i have a couple brands in mind you can try too.

Hello all!  Checking in from Toronto, Canada.  Never been a member of a forum before, but I just grabbed the m-51 jacket and had such an amazing experience with Ross emailing just to make sure sizing and everything worked for me, I had to mention it.  Looking forward to getting the jacket.

I’ve enjoyed the UHF shirts, westerns, works and cpos for quite a while, but I’m slightly ashamed to admit that I only grabbed my first pair of denim jeans in 2020.  I was listening to the iron cast today (Congratulations to all!) and it reminded me of my experience.  I was in the market for some black jeans for work(kitchen work) and I typically order online.  A store in Toronto carries Iron Heart so I figured instead of another PBJ I’ll grab a pair.  Went and took a look in person and the hand feel of the jeans had me going crazy, I’m usually a slub guy, also I love 20+ in weight.  I had a pair of 777 14 oz -od in my hand, wow, this 14 oz jean feels like other brands 18-20, Giles was right sometimes you just have to feel the product.

Well that’s my long winded introduction, also as a Canadian I have the authority to say that Iron Heart’s black and red Buffalo check UHF is the best version of the best shirt ever made. Thanks guys and gals and looking forward to my next pair!  Cheers!

I already have a 2 pairs of 888s 21oz and I'm in process to get one in od 21oz.
Now, question about sizing 🙂 should I go for same size or I need to size up?
Thanks in advance for your help and stay safe.

@dex I would just check the measurements and go with what's on the chart (this is always the route to go, as the sizing differs a lot from jean to jean).

That said, you might end up finding that the ODs run a little smaller, as the overdying process can cause a bit of shrinkage. However, the OD 21oz denim is very comfortable and does stretch out a bit. I'd wait for advice of some other folks (like @neph93 especially, as he always has the best input), but my suggestion would be to pick the size that best matches the (pre-stretch) measurements of your current 888s.

Oh and also, welcome to the forum! 😉
