@BrianA thanks! I honestly don't know how I've kept it in such good knick. I don't tend to wash my jeans hot but I think I did put some leather care oil on this one a while back. But mostly it's luck!

Ten months, one soak, just washed, worn a lot, and still stiff. Like armour on the upper thigh. My 555-01, by contrast, unwashed, five months wear, are soft and very pliable. Guess it's the dye, right? Or the fabric?  Both?

Hey Iron Heartbeaters!

First post here. It’s positively addictive reading all your great posts. Really inspiring, and the craftsmanship of the IH is just beyond.

Curious about the soaking, as I’ve never tried it before. Leave it in the bath for 30 mins, and let drip dry? Would love it if you made a youtube on how to soak. Heard about the bleeding hahaha

Thanks to <napsal>I finally got my legs on a fresh pair of these black babies. Graham recommended I get a w33, as they stretch, and I think you’re bang on. But these w34 are crazy comfy. Plus… I have had to give away my first pair of straight IH w32, and the precious Beatle Buster w34 I can only wear if I do not button up the final button hahah.. the w33 of 461Z are perfect some days, and too tight around the waist others..

So, I put the 555-03 w34 on four days ago and can’t take them off. They’re the most flexible IH pair I’ve ever had. Hoping my belt will keep them in place.

Pop then in some hot water for 10 or 20 min, agitate a lot, take them out, drip dry.

@discobeard those look a lot like Red Wing blacksmiths in Hawthorn Muleskinner leather. Had a pair a few years back and they looked identical to Richard’s boots here.

Inspired by all the great shots on here, I thought I would opt for black today. Bought these back in September 2018. At that time I had never seen any iron heart in person but when I tore open that parcel from ihuk and these came out, I knew I had something special. Incredible fabric that has just aged fantastically well; amazingly solid construction that means they feel as solid today as they did on day one; and a cut that was new to me (the higher rise and a slim without being skinny leg) but against which all other cuts will be compared to forever more.
