@JDelage that Moser is gorgeous, and looks like it was worth the extended wait.

Thanks. Yes, I feel very fortunate. Coincidentally, this week's going to be heavy on watches for me…

Apparently the wait for the Streamliner is a lot longer now.

Great score @JDelage , it's so beautiful and retains a sporty aesthetic. One of the best-looking bracelets in the biz too.

          Think it, be it.

What a beautiful timepiece @JDelage.  I think it will be a future classic.  You can see some of the the much spoken about integrated Genta designs language reinterpreted in the streamliner series.  The bracelet design is stunning and blends so well into the case, well done Moser!

Have been trying to view one of these for a while now but no luck.  Harrods in London appear to be the only UK dealer and whenever I have gone in to the store they do not have anything from the streamliner collection to show.  Guessing all these watches just come in and straight out onto a customers wrist.

My IronHeart Pinion had been acting a bit off (tight winding, tight setting), so I sent it back to Piers at Pinion for some warranty work. I gotta say, Piers was an A+ pro at getting my watch fixed quickly and effectively and told me what was happening every step of the way. While my watch was in England, he also subbed out the black hand set for a polished set so I can see it easier at work. It looks fantastic and I’m very happy to have it back on my wrist!

Thanks Giles, honestly the only painful part of the process was the $220 it cost to ship it…

Way beyond my means, but I got to handle this today. Early, possibly unique, Vacheron & Constantin jump hour, quarter repeating pocket watch in the possession of one of my favourite dealers. Absolutely stunning!

Had a very nice surprise call from the London AD I have been using.

Picked this up today. Will get some better pictures once I get it home.

My Grandad gave this watch to me probably about 8 years ago now before he passed away.
Only worn it a few times spends most of its days in the box.
Love the age and the character planning on looking after it..
Should really look at getting a watch winder.

This is very cool, especially so because he was able to pass on the box & papers. Is that a watch you saw him wear?

@Jcaz6996 really nice to have something like this in wearable condition. I hung on to my dad’s Omega and papers for sentimental reasons but the case is completely buggered and it doesn’t run. It would need so much replacing that it would end up not being his watch, assuming I can even find someone who’s comfortable working with a tuning fork movement.

I had the opposite situation. We sold off my Dad's gold Omega (for peanuts BTW) because it had been in the bank's safe forever and we'd never seen my Dad wear it a single time. We had zero attachment to it.

                                            @ddtrash that's a very nice Patek.

I was in Melbourne yesterday, and managed to take a look at an Omega Chronoscope. It wasn't too unreadable, even with my eyes that desperately need multifocals. 😃

They also had the platinum Seamaster 1948 in platinum, which was lovely, very heavy, and way too many dollars to consider buying. I could get a nice Patek for less…

I'm interested in the Tresor with the small seconds and power reserve, but they haven't turned up yet. Maybe in the new year.

I'd hoped to take a look at a Chopard Alpine Eagle. I like the recently unveiled titanium version with the 8 Hz movement, but the only dealer I managed to visit said that they're like hen's teeth now. I'll try a different one next time, who turned me away because it was ten minutes before closing time!

(Customer service in the watch world really sucks. It's the only industry I know where they can be rude, and people will still come back for more abuse.)

IWC announced a couple of Big Pilot 43s with alternative cases a couple of days ago. One in bronze with a green dial, and the other in titanium with a B-Uhr inspired dial. I like the latter, but I'm not sure if it's too fussy or really cool. I want to see them in the metal before passing judgement.
