I`m about to stop resisting and going to order a quality leather jacket. Not too keen on Aeroleathers looks/cuts and stumbled on Simmons Bilt Pacific. It's everything I have been looking for.
I have no clue on different leathers and I need your help, please.

No pebbles, visible grain (is that the correct term?), etc

Doesn't fade or "show character" over time
-
Medium or heavy weight (need some advice on this subject also: how much does a heavy weight jacket weigh? ???

If you don't want it to "show character", which I'm assuming means scratches, spots, etc., then you should eliminate any Horween CXL. That stuff scratches if you breathe on it.

This is my Blattwerk work jacket out in the sun to get riid of mold spots
I’ve had it for 2+ years, occasional use, mostly on short motorcycle rides around town. Love it.

This is custom made. Debs sized me into a Size 40 I’m 6”1 with 185 lbs and a 40” chest
I measured the Jacket recently
Shoulders 52,5 cm
Chest 58,5 cm
Waist 51,5 cm
Opening 51 cmThe Sleeves and back are altered at my specifications
I must say the Jacket is very heavy. It could be it becomes a bit bigger because of the thickness of the leather

Finally, after tons of excellent help from Debs and not to long of a wait my new Classic Biker was delivered…....after sitting at the UPS hub in Frankfurt for 3 weeks due to Brexshit.

Removed the belt loops and added side adjusters

The quality on this thing is amazing! The leather, stitching, hardware, all of it. I absolutely love the grain and texture in the leather and can't wait for it soften up while breaking in and settle down a bit. It's definitely a bit boxier in shape then my IH rider's jacket, which will take a bit of getting used to as its my first classic "perfecto" style jacket.
10/10 Would highly recommend sending Debs an email if anyone is ever interested in a jacket from them. Excellent service! -

My little present from me to me - a bespoke leather jacket from SB. The Desert Run pattern, with one chest pocket removed and a couple inches off the hem, in the veg tan natural horse hide. Needs breaking in. If it wasn’t 30 degrees in my house right now I’d be sleeping in it I love it that much already.
Damn I look tired. Can’t sleep in this heat.
