Catch of the day [Fishing]

been going out for Weakfish lately. they’ve been missing from our fishery for a long time. catching one used to be like seeing a unicorn. but they were back in numbers this year. here one of the many “unicorns” i caught. we were fishing g what is refered as a tombolo. it’s where waves meet after an island splits them. it leaves a bar that has deep water on both sides. we stand on the bar in waist deep moving water and fish either side or wherever the hell the wind allows.

Cool.  I am about to go out and fist a shingle spit.  I'm hoping to find some current around the end of it.  So far. zero Bass for me this year (the season appears to be about a month late)…

i let this fellow go but he was about 25 inches long. i have never eaten them as this was my first encounter with them. but a friend kept one and he said it was fantastic. it’s in the grunt family of fish and grunt are delicious!

My boss has a cabin on the north shore of Lake Superior near Lutsen, MN. He took us all up to stay for a team building/work trip. Why was I the only one who brought a fishing rod? No catches on day 1, but I’ll put some time in today too if I get a chance. Fishing for salmon, steelhead, trout, etc.

I'm on the South Western tip of Portugal with Paula, the coastline is amazing, but I've yet to catch…...It's a steep learning curve, never having fished like this before....All balls out on outcrops as far out as you can get, There's a 4-6 foot swell running and I'm regularly being dunked by rogue waves (I am wearing a life vest)....

Boy @Giles, this lure really can catch fish!
My nephew and I caught 5 bass, 1 perch, 1 bluegill and 1 northern.
Temps have been in the upper 90’s for the last week so it was really hard to find the fish and they were deep in search of cool water.

Me, on the other hand, spent every morning in Portugal fishing hard from 7ish to 9ish for zippo/nada/fuck-all/nothing.....

I’m currently refinishing (sanding and staining) our deck.  I rather be fishing in Portugal even if I wasn’t catching anything.
