Planning to layer over flannels and T shirts for riding. Maybe occasionally over a hoody, but definitely not over the leather jacket. Should I size my regular IH shirt L size? Don't have a vest to take measurements.

I would say yes, although an XL would probably work too. The risk with vests is them being too short and shirt tails showing too much and flaring out under the hem of the vest. The IH-9526v is pretty long though so you should be good with an L.

I just placed the order with IH Germany for a size L. I believe it's fine, we'll see.

Hello, I am not sure, what size to chose. I'm 5'10 and 82 kg. Most IH Shirts I wear in L, IHV-02-BLK Vest I also wear in L. I don't want to wear the vest over a jacket but over IH flannels. Is size M enough or better L? I am also not sure regarding the length, difference is more than one inch, maybe M would be to short?

If you were to wear over a tee/henley/sweater I’d ask where you wanted the vest to sit, over, on or under the belt? Either way, I think an M would fit you best, but would be way too short to wear with UHF’s.

You should compare the length of the vest with the length of your UHF’s. If there is more than - 3 inch difference then it’s going to look odd imho.

I'm 5'11" 170lbs and wear a size L. It's about belt length (covers the belt) but quite roomy in the chest without looking odd. I can easily wear a hoody underneath. Usually I wear my Kersey, military serge or similar under it and it looks just fine. I would however definitely fit in an M as well. If you like it more tailored I would opt for M, otherwise L will do just fine.
Either way it's one bad ass m#$&@$.

Greetings IH forum.. in search of sizing advice for this killer piece.

I'm looking to finally add this vest to my kit. I own one IH type 3, the IH 526J-142OD, which I wear in an XXL. Shirtwise my most recent purchase was the IHSH-235-OLV in a size XL. I have broad shoulders but I'm lean from shoulders down. I'm thinking XL on this vest based on measurements. I'd like to layer it over a western shirt or even a sweatshirt if possible. Im 6'1 (186cm) and weight is 185lbs (84 kilograms).

Thanks again for the help. Cheers.

I’m an XXL in most IH shirts, and I wanted to be able to wear the vest over a heavy weight hoodie and a UHF,so I sized up to a XXXL,which I’m totally happy with. I’m 5,8 and about 175lbs. Hope this helps.
