The employee at SE was really helpful and nice!  I'm a TTS 32 (muscular thighs from exercise) and wanted to try on a 31 and 32 per your advice.  Unfortunately they only had a 33 in stock but it fit pretty decently so I'm leaning towards a  32 as the right size for me.  Still got a tiny doubt on the back of my mind on whether the 31 would be better though.

Beats, prob an inch in the waist so plenty of room.  The thighs were not loose at all.
I also tried on a Buster in 32 and could not pull them up all the way.  No bigger sizes avail 😞

hmm… you might be better off getting them in a 32 , thigh difference isn`t that much, but an inch in the waist is too big, so def. not a 33...

I took some measurements of my best fitting jeans (size 33 Samurai s0500) and here it is (carefully done the Ironheart way).  Do you think 31 634s can hit that thigh number?
                            waist: 32
                            thigh: 12.5
                            knee:  8.9
                            hem: 8.1

                            another question:
do the 31 and 32 really have the same knee and hem measurements?

                              sorry about the noob questions!

Imo a tagged 31 in 634s should stretch to the actual measurements of your samurai's with no problemo!
From my research the actual sizing advice is to size one down on 634 cut so since these will also stretch i think you'll be fine when ordering a tagged 31!

And about the knee- and hem-meauserements i think the website is 100% right, and if not, there's so little differences when it comes to measuring cuz actually no pair measures the same even if it's same tagged size!
So sometimes the measurements on your ordered 31 could differ from the measurements on a tagged 31 from the homepage cuz like i've said…NO! pair is like the other one in same size!

I'd go for 32. They will stretch some, but only what is needed. I'd say there isn't going to be "overstretching"

More educated can chime in now.  😉

edit: I'm especially looking at your thigh measurement…

a fitpic of your S0500XX wouldn't hurt as well so we can see how tight/loose these are fitting...

All 4 pairs of my IH's have stretched at least, if not more, than an inch in the waist. Thighs in my 301's have
stretched more than an inch, start snug and they'll be perfect after a couple weeks and squats like Finn said.

'Cause the way I see it, if your jeans stretch one inch, you have bought wrong size jeans.
Maybe it's just me whose wrong, I dunno.

Makes sense IJ, thing is denim stretches, it's cotton and it's supposed to be washed and dried to snug it back
up again. That's something we shy away from here since we want to create our own crease lines and evo before
that first soak or wash, therefore our jeans stay stretched out and looser.
After that first wash/dry we're back in business for while, that's the beauty of denim.

Saggy when new or after the first wash? Someone didn't do the math…
