It is great… everything feels faster than the old iPad and the smaller size/reduced weight is definitely noticeable. It would nice to have a higher resolution screen but hey, they gotta leave something for next year...
As for the buying experience: the lines in NYC last night for it were absurd from what I could see and read on twitter. I hit up the 24 hour Apple store at about 7.30am and only had a 10 minute wait inside the store... but people looking for the AT&T ones (which can be made to work outside the US) were out of luck. Apple is minting money, it's amazing.

Jimmy, i think it's worth the upgrade but it's not a clear case… the improvements definitely make the user experience better but it's not a "wow" type upgrade if that makes sense. That said, i am loving it each time i use it and the thinner and slightly smaller frame is really cool.
