Last L.A. update… We got back into the City last night and were greeted by our lil shithead cats. Now back to work today
Here's my precious lil wife and this is the cute spot we used as our HQ for a couple days out on the west side in Santa Monica.

Sun, wind & almost 20°C today. There are midsummer days here in Schleswig-Holstein with less good weather. We were hiking, a friend of mine and our two 11-year-old sons. It's part of a project, we are hiking from coast-to coast across the cimbrian peninsula (Baltic to North sea). Today was the 5th leg, in total we have made more than 60 kilometers, almost halfway. Today partially along the Kiel Canal, had to take a ferry to get across.

Oh and I forgot to mention… So I've never had someone on the street comment on my denim save for those who work at one of the SE locations lol.
When I was in L.A., I was stopping off at a Shell off of Sunset in Echo Park when two dudes in a Subaru rolled up on me.
"Hey! Are those selvedge?"
"Uh... yeah? They're Iron Heart 25oz."
"Ah sick! We were thinking they were on the heavier side and prob IH. Looking great dude. The electric blue is coming out great!"
At first I thought that they were trying to jump me or something. Once I realized that wasn't the case, we had a nice lil chat about denim. First for everything.

I see quite a bit of selvedge denim jeans in my neck of the woods but not a ton of IH.. when I do see it I try to make some kind of connection with whoever is wearing it…

I used to get it more often being around the greater Bay Area of CA than I do now in NZ. However there is another dad from my kids school that is a fan of IH. Saw him wearing a UHF I have back in the states and was like, "no way, I have that same shirt!" Turns out he's cool as and we have heaps in common. The last time he came over to my house he was wearing a properly broken in 33 that is fantastic. I tried to steal it but he was too sharp for that to happen
I know I know, pics or it didn't happen, but it felt too weird to ask him for pics of his clothes. Maybe next time.
