Hi everyone - IH crew.  I am sure it can be found somewhere but I have not stumbled upon it yet. Can some one or any of you good people describe the differences with the 22oz Selvedge Denim Overdyed Indigo VS this 19oz Left-Hand OD Denim in terms or texture, feel, etc, and fading properties?

@Kasi  yes I can. I have had two legs of the tour with the IH-526j-19L-OD and I own the IH-526-22OD.

The 22oz has is a heavy matte black to start with. Very inky. It has a smooth even hand like the source denim does, except the OD makes it more so as it tightens the weave considerably. It fades very nicely, noticable patterns appearing after only a few wears. It is heavy but not too stiff and softens very quickly. It is early days on mine yet but it looks like it will go from black to indigo to grey/white, retaining a little of each.

The 19oz has a more rugged, crosshatch weave pattern, and starts off stiff. It does soften nicely but takes a while. It fades witj great contrast but doesn’t retain as much indigo, seeming to go from black, quite quickly to white in high abrasion areas.

Obviously the fit is different between the two but seeing as you didn’t ask, I guess you know that.

Except I think SE now have an exclusive OD 22oz in the modified cut.

No problem. Btw, can I still shrink the 22od with a hot soak? Due to my chest and shoulder, I had to pick up a xxxl. But i feel the length is perhaps just a tad bit too long.

Oh and another thing that's amazing about the 22oz is that corduroy quality. Coupled with that armor like stiffness, this jacket is so out of this world.

Nope. The overdying process takes all the shrinkage out.

Zero chance  I am afraid.  The over-dyeing process is far more aggressive than the hottest, most vigorous soak wash that anyone will be able to do at home…..

Ok. I mean this is more than fine. If I really wanna go for that cropped look, I can always get the other 22od version ;).

As for eat more… I wish there was something I can eat to make me go taller. :p

I guess if there's any complaint about ironheart, is that I wish they offer a slightly more athletic built. For most tops, I need to go xxl to fit the shoulder and chest. But this always feels like making the mid section a bit too billowy and sleeves too long.

But then weird/magical thing is, and the reason I kept buying more of the brand, in pictures, everything still look great.

I think this is a result of Haraki-san designing without the influence of trends and fashion, and with an eye on utility. In my opinion this is partially why there is no high waisted, super tapered cut that a lot of other brands have released recently. The gear doesn’t fit like other brands, or what is on point at a given time, but still looks great.

                                          ...maybe it doesn't matter...

I think given they are both over dyed then the colour of the weft is of limited relevance. There is some difference in the fabrics however and they present slightly differently when overdyed. But as you say, I don’t really think it is going to matter that much.
