I'm wondering if it will be more of a WWII derived piece or a whole different animal. My problem with popovers is that they tend to be really blousy. Coupling that with a heavier fabric and typically narrow IH shoulder/ medium length could make for a very unfortunate bell shape. I'm curious to see what the Boss comes up with.

That's awesome news, G

I brought this up many years ago here. But one of my favorite shirts I ever owned from like 20 years ago was a military style pullover shirt that was made of this stubby material. It had a a button closure diamond shaped pockets (like an IH western), and a collar.
I'd love a shirt like this that had snaps and was made from the same material as the IHSH-64
Either this, or some kind of Buffalo plaid UHF (besides red or green) would be awesome.

I can kinda appreciate what they’re going after but that Dixxon shirt is painful to look at.

I feel like this idea has BIG potential!!! I have a lot to say as this has been a secret wish of mine for years, but now that it actually has traction, I want to be as supportive as possible so that these can finally get made.
While a continuation of western-shirt styling or type-II aesthetics is fine and will work of course, I think those options leave too much on the table and we can do better. This should fill a hole in the wardrobe and be totally unique amongst the IH lineup so everyone can rationalize buying it amongst all the must-haves that are coming out. I'm thinking more along the lines of a combination of an IH pullover hoodie, and a glorious hippie poncho, much like the Radiall Skunk Hoodie from Sonder Supplies. An IH salute to the glory of denim, especially with the new lighter stubby denims y'all are making. I'm seeing value in this like the leather jackets that have no seam down the back, just one pristine panel of perfection for all to admire. This could be a celebration of IH denim, a testament to the beauty and durability of woven and worn indigo, no frills, just IH denim in all its massive magnificence.
In my opinion, it has to have hand pockets if it's a pullover. Whether those are pockets like the deck jackets/vests, like the cpo's, or like the hoodies is totally debatable.
We would also need to decide what to do with the sleeves, riveted-button closure like the type-III's, storm cuffs like the deck jackets, or storm cuffs like the Ihj-60, or no closure like the ihj-91. Maybe even like cuffs on the westerns, with the snaps, where you could easily roll up the sleeves…
And I really like this hood construction with the beautiful neckline and border.
And this is a technical jacket obviously, but the silhouette is nice for a pullover. Although I don't think the zipper would work with denim
Can't wait to see what Haraki dreams up…Talk amongst yourselves...

The Dixon Rand could be a lot better with a snap placket, like the Lucky one, instead of the lace up neck.
The Levis one looks a bit too much like a long sleeve polo shirt to me.

Something like this would be so EPIC!
In Denim obviously or in some of that fabled 64 fabric!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Now we're talking. Great pic @Brock Proof of concept right there, this proves that substantial fabric can still be functional and comfortable.
Take out that huge front pocket (would significantly improve function and comfort, I'm surprised they chose that design) and the front drawstring holes (which could be moved or eliminated) and it's a winner!
Without that front pocket, and made from a unique IH denim, this would be a wonderful offering to express the beauty of indigo denim. Imagine the fades and falling from having soooo much flowing denim, free from seams and pockets, just uninterrupted indigo!
