Random Rants

Dear lawd the life of a landlawd now and then… I got a new upstairs neighbour about three years ago...
Sidebar - The previous tenant was robbed by his girlfriend (she max'ed out his cc's whilst he was on an army mission), so the first couple of months there was no one living there... I did catch him once whilst he was moving out... Well: I came in with groceries and he was moving a washing machine, down three stairs of flights, ON HIS OWN… He was on the last couple of stairs as I entered... Didn't even look phased...
So about three years ago, a new tenant was found... A young girl (22'ish), on her own... As I always do with new neighbours (and also new people at work), I check their social media... Apparently she had a child, and worked at a local alu production factory... The child didn't live with her (and as far as I can tell, visited her three weekends during those three years)... She was quiet and gone to work all day... Fine by me...
Then the dog arrived... What possesses someone to keep a medium sized dog (as you can tell I'm not familiar with the different kinds of dogs) in a one bedroom pad is beyond me... Especially since she was gone from home for ten hours a day... To his credit, he was the sweetest thing alive and only barked when a motorcycle passed...
Then the burn out and/ or depression arrived... She stopped working, and did not leave the house for almost two years... I mean: she took the dog out for two minutes, and picked up pizza for dinner at the place across the street. That was it. Soon she wasn't able to pay for the flat anymore, but the contract stipulates that you rent for three years... Leave any earlier, and you have to pay an additional two or three months of rent (basically you lose the deposit)... So she soldiered on...
But meanwhile she even got fed up with walking the dog, and she let him piss on her balcony... Which are made of wooden beams, so the piss dribbled down onto my patio furniture and my balcony door... I warned her twice to stop fucking about, and to get him to piss outdoors... Third time I contacted the landlord, who gave her a stern bullocking... It then stopped...
Now: she finished the three years and fucked off... Good... I saw the ad pop up on the estate agen't website, and noticed, in the pictures, the stains... I remembered my landlord had put in a brandnew, thick, sound absorping carpet, when she had moved in...
Basically, she had just let the dog piss everywhere… I also forgot to add that she added a cat to her little ark the last year... Presumably it too, added to the carnage... My landlord now had to put in a new carpet again, and the total damages ran up to 5000€... She lost her deposit (around 1800€), and is paying off the rest on a monthly base...

Nice looking place. And as Giles said, unfortunate all around.

@Seul I remember you complaining about the dog pissing on the balcony and it raining down. Yikes

Coming soon Iron Heart x Walmart
WTF next?
It seems like a noble thing, but if you carefully read that press release those jeans are made out of 100 percent post-consumer waste. They are literally made of garbage.

Looks good Giles–-Low maintenance? How about NO maintenance
One drop of shampoo, a quick swipe with the washcloth and voila....finished -
Needed to cut my hair today. Forgot to put the thingy onto the clippers that determines cut length, once I had done one pass, there was nothing to do but keep going.
We’ve all been there mate… although I may never be forgiven for the time I did the same with Noah when he was only 4 years old.

I was thinking of this instead..
