That was the plan… it was a little disappointing however. The bourbon was far too stringent and poorly integrated with the base. Probably be better in a year or two.

I've tried peanut butter beers twice and both were pretty terrible. That may be a flavor that just isn't doable for beer.

I’ve had some bad ones as well,but thought surely if anyone could get it right they could. I find it hard to believe that their brewmaster tasted this and thought this is a winner.

I also liked this one. I still find them a bit hit and miss, it seems they do quite a few mediocre variations on their base brews but once in a while hit a real winner.

Caribbean Ginger Cake is my all time favourite Stout they have done I think.

Sicillian Lemon Cheesecake my favourite sour.

I suppose it is. Very typical millennial Scandinavian design. Straight lines galore and minimal curves only where you need them. Modern and classic at the same time. I like them for 750ml bottles for some reason.

Just sank this. Bloody good (ignore the goofy, flirty, borderline scary blonde in the background).

Followed up with more BlackStack. A triple, this time…..

Both of these BlackStack brews score better than 4.4 on Untappd. Every offering of theirs I've tried has been fantastic. IMO, they are on par with Other Half, if not a slight cut above. If you can grab one, I suggest you do so.

Couple of Nøgne from the weekend.  They’ve released some very tasty staple beers at a sessionable ABV, including the kveik Saison below, an Expert Stout (no pic, but very good), and an English Bitter.

The second one was quite majestic and available at a surprisingly low price for an impy stout with bells and whistles.
