I love cooking - and I love a good kitchen knife.
These are my top kitchen knives I've owned so far.

The knife on top is from an Austrian knife maker, Benjamin Kamon. Unique design, very good knives.
            https://www.kamonknives.com/

The one in the middle is from a freaky hobbyist, based in Germany. He creates nearly perfect knives and is interested to check out some unusual knife steels.

And the knife on the bottom is made by a 17 years old guy…

                      Very nice!

I was looking at one of these a while back. Would love to know your thoughts once you have had a chance to carry it for a bit!

@Cutlasshound I've been using my Kizer almost daily, the usual uses - packaging, boxes, kitchen etc. It had a bit of blade play out of the box, but that was sorted with a quick tighten.

The steel is very good and super sharp. It glided through corugated cardboard without any pressure applied.

Despite the opening hole in the blade, I can only flick it open to the half stop at the moment, but it opens easily with one hand.

The handle is well made, no hotpots, fit and finish are very good. There are no pretruding sharp edges, the clip is secure but pliable.

                            It is a nice knife.

I've always wanted a beast of a day to day knife for home use. Opted for a Spyderco Manix 2 XL in black. It is killer. Brutally tough and superfast one hand deployment, even when wearing leather gloves. The blade steel is very nice too. I've found myself wandering around the house just looking for things that need slicing up… My wife and son are hiding in the cupboard under the stairs... Mwahaha

Here's a size comparison next to my Kizer

Sold out pretty quickly. The micarta scales are lovely in the flesh and have a real depth to them that, likely so many things, is difficult to capture in a photo.

Razor sharp out of the box. Nice deep carry clip.

@Cutlasshound I've been fighting the urge to pick one of these up. I can only imagine it's like the Heinnie Luna, just much, much Better! And the Luna is a nice edc UK friendly too.

Buy a kwik thumb stud. I put one on my Luna and it works a treat. Nice smooth one hand opening.

It’s very nice. I also have the Luna and the key differences imo are that the pocket clip on this one is sooo much better and the knife itself looks a bit more svelte, other than that the quality and blade etc are on par.

I read that Heinnie will be getting these back into stock over the next few weeks [emoji8]

I've been meaning to post my last 2 acquisitions, for a few months, now. Finally getting around to it. Both Spyderco. One practical, the other, not as much.

First up, the Waterway. It was designed by Lance Clinton, a sport fisherman. His intention was to use it as an all around utility, that he could carry with him on his kayak. It also works well as a fillet. The beauty of it, it's completely rust proof, as it uses LC200N steel, and has no hardware to rust, as it utilizes blind pins and an industrial adhesive to secure the G-10 scales. It is maintenance free. @Giles , @Matty123 , if you don't know about this one, you may want to take note. I plan on using it for camping and fishing trips…..

                                        Here's Lance putting it through it's paces…..

Second, is a Blade HQ exclusive PM2. It uses CPM REX 45 steel, and has copper scales. I bought this as a collector piece. I work with copper, almost daily. It just seemed fitting to own one. The only reason I see it as not-so-practical, the copper scales make it a bit heavy for regular use. It is pretty to look at, though.....

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.
