@Giles are the sleeves wider and longer on this new iteration of the 533 than the previous run and/or other IH type III's or is that just an optical illusion on my part?

Also, are you guys sticking with the lighter colored corduroy collar or are you still going with the darker brown for the production run like you stated previously?

Either way you cut it, killer jacket.

1. I don't know.  All I can say is that the sample XL fits me perfectly, and in the 533, I had to wear and XXL.
2. Internal debate about collar colour.  Love the light beige, but it will take indigo transfer way more readily than darker beiges…..Nor sure what is best to do.

I hear you on that.  Both shades of corduroy look great but IMO the darker will be a better choice in the long run because of the Indigo transfer that will occur on the lighter beige like you said.

The remake of the IHSH-35 is in the house.  This version will not have red bar-tacks.

This was my very first IH shirt purchase and I have always regretted that I messed up with the sizing and couldn't wear it.

It was always going to be glorious… I knew that.

I do love that orange though. It takes my IHSH-106 to the next level and gives me the warm and fuzzies. Actually, now I think about it, I have always coveted, but never owned, the black version of the IHSH-105 and that had the same red sleeve lining as Son of 533, so I'd probably feel the same way about scarlet if I had one of those shirts in my closet.

Nope. The sample is in and it is a choice of three shades of beige/brown corduroy. This is based on an early IH design, which in turn was based on a vintage Levi’s design.

I’ve had jeans in the 17oz natural indigo denim that this is produced from. It is quite stubborn to begin with but when it starts fading it does so with contrast for sure. Look at the IH-555N thread or do a search for IH-555N for some examples.

If you wear them right (basically a lot), jackets will fade beautifully.
