I’ve had multiple 888s and multiple SRs.
Overall, the 888s are a more contemporary fit for sure, and lend themselves really well to your style I think.
Yes, I see myself in that cut for sure. I like that old school looking top block. Probably go the same size as my SRs for a slightly looser fit.

Surprised I have little skew on mine. I’m happy to let it twist if it wants. Maybe it doesn’t want?
These were second generation SRs so maybe it’s a different formula? Reasonable amount of shrinkage in the length but fits a lot the same everywhere else as far as I can remember. But, I also didn’t wear these for several years so memories fade.

All settled down from the baths and stretched back out from a couple of days continuous wear. Prefer this cut over anything else in the straight cut fleet.
Probably wear these everyday for a year or so.
Going to be good pants.

Actually, I’m only half crazy.
…An interesting story on this stack I was telling Z. about the other night..I got two pairs from Japan and the post lost them so I contacted the store and asked if there was some way they could trace it. They just sent 2 replacement pairs and then the original order showed up 3 months later all beat to shit. That’s how this pile happened. I even contacted them and told them when they arrived to see if they wanted them back but they didn’t respond. I felt bad because they were so cool about everything.
Then I wasn’t sure how to hem them so I just waited and soaked a few times to see what would happen. Just now getting around to putting in rotation. I had them stored.

When I’m not certain about how to wear something I just go to one of the Japanese IH Instagram accounts. Those guys and gals know what they’re doing. Big cuffs as far as the eye can see.
