Fantastic fit!  Waist will give you and inch (more if you need it). And the 21oz tends to give stretch pretty quickly.

      Blanket-line all the things!!!

@konadog that turned out really well, congratulations. You wear them beautifully with a mix of relaxed cool, and old world style. I love the 888 for its versatility for giving the wearer the option to make it h/ir own.

Looking for opinions on the fit of these 888S and any suggestions for my next pair? Stick with the 888s or is there anything that might fit even better?  Only thing, I do prefer a higher rise.  Cheers

They look fantastic, both in terms of fit and as a well worn pair of jeans.

You could definitely stick to the 888, trying the 25oz XHS or the 14oz variant, depending on your preference.

Other fits you may like would be the 1955 (a bit more traditional, but still a high rise and more of a taper from knee to hem), or go for the 555, for a more modern slim cut, while maintaining  a medium to high rise.

Those look like a perfect fit to me. If you’re looking for something slimmer, and the thigh measurements will allow, you could try a 555. I’d stick with the 888 in a different denim—those look like a good fit for you.

neph93, sabergirl, Graham - Many thanks for advice and help it’s much appreciated.  Looks like the 1955 is the only cut with a similar rise, so it’s either risk those or stick with 888, I’m leaning towards ‘if it ain’t broke don’t fix it’. The 14oz sound interesting but I’ve never handled it, I’m guessing it behaves the same as the 21 just lighter in weight?

Here’s two early fit pics of mine, when I bought them at Statement store in Munich, and when I wore them the first time.

I’m ruined for “lightweight” denim and don’t have anything lighter than 19oz at the moment. Never tried the current version of the 14oz. The word is that the weave is tighter and less stretchy than the 21oz. It is often claimed that the 21oz performs better than the 14oz in warm weather.

Excellent! I love the 888. Very versatile and comfortable, and still a great silhouette.

                                  yup new here…

tried the 777s first, but my body type says 888 (also Cephalopods are my favorite animals). Anyway, these feel perfect. Re-confirming the softness of the 21oz and this model makes crouching possible without showing my crack or hindering movement. Still feels a lil snug, but nothing that won't stretch.  I believe.... fit pics below. If you look closely you can see the extra corona kilos...

remark about the model. I feel the hem size could be smaller/tighter. Have to add I have maximus gluteus and thicc quads but small calves & tender ankles. The hem & below the knee fit of 777 looked nicer imho. I'm 1,83m (6ft) and around 95kg - it's a size 36

I've grown out of mine again, sadly. The narrow knee measurement means they're too tight to move in freely when I add some muscle to my thighs. 6'1, 225lbs, 35" waist, own tag size 36. When my backside completely fills out the rear of these it also produces a weird crotch effect from the combo of the wide hip measurement and high front rise. I'm limited to baggy jeans or Levi's 541, and Levi's are only selling the inferior version of those jeans outside of America, for whatever reason.

I would absolutely love a more athletic version of these jeans, with a slightly wider thigh and some more knee width, and a regular front rise and hip. Pretty pleeeeeease.

I was excited when you offered me a recommendation… unfortunately those jeans are miles off being wearable for me. In my waist size, 35, (tag 34) rear rise and thigh measurements are both short by nearly 2 inches, and the knee measurement is smaller than on the 888s. 😞

Of the Iron Heart jeans I've seen, the 1955S that I own fit my legs well, but I find the very high front rise combined with wide hips provides lots of excess material in the crotch which is extremely unflattering. They look good so long as a wear a shirt that covers the crotch. They're obviously intended to be worn higher than I can wear them- my huge arse from years of weightlifting and sport means the rear rise is lost covering that.  😃
