This is basically the UHR, right? I love that you have stocked pairs. Forward thinking at its best.

I have had two pairs of SRs and the leg twists a  Decent amount…

If the hems are not twisted, there is more shrink available.

@Giles I think I have UHR stocked pairs, but not this cut.

I have these in the Japanese version which came in a 34” inseam and the leg twist is considerable.  I hot machine washed them and air dried.  If you want twist and max shrinkage that’s what works for me.

Yeah, thanks all. These are tricky. I’m 3 hot soaks in and there’s a lot of length gone but no puckering much on the hem and the seams still seem mostly straight.

My instinct right now is to just put a cuff in and go with it without any hemming to fit, or just hem the knowing they’ll be over and cuff whatever is left.

Anything but winding up short is goal.

              Cool pic after soak.

              RIP, Geo

Not sure but probably very close. It was the second generation annies.

I have 4 pairs of these in 34 and 36.

Two starting rotation, the other two I’ll save.

I think the 36s I’m gonna shrink fully and cuff them and use that pair to base my decision on the others. Thanks for your help.

I had my very first pair of IH, my 666 25 oz hemmed and have always regretted it.  I prefer the versatility of length, cuffing or stacking.  Plus the hem isn’t quite the same even from a Union Special in my opinion.  Obviously this is a matter of personal taste but even at 5’9” the standard IHUK length of 37ish has always worked for me.

So many solid ruminations derive from the hems of the SRs… 😂😂😂

Big ass heavy thick cuffs do look good. I like this method of the double with exposed hem a lot.

Here’s some fat cuffed 36s. Not much skew on mine for whatever reason. 3 soaks, one hot wash on delicate and about 10 minutes in a dryer.  Something about 34.5 in the inseam. Still quite stiff.

Overall, the 888s are a more contemporary fit for sure, and lend themselves really well to your style I think.

I got these already pretty beat up from a friend, and liked them faded so much I sold my nearly new pair.

These are used for yard work, painting, and house projects - and I’m constantly redoing broken threads lol [emoji23]

Yes, I see myself in that cut for sure. I like that old school looking top block. Probably go the same size as my SRs for a slightly looser fit.

These were second generation SRs so maybe it’s a different formula?  Reasonable amount of shrinkage in the length but fits a lot the same everywhere else as far as I can remember. But, I also didn’t wear these for several years so memories fade.
