@going_to_battle these are size 34. I’m 6”1’ and ~180lbs. I bought in store at Rivet&Hide so was able to try a few sizes: I could fasten a 33 but I would describe the tightness as profound - all the other measurements felt too close for comfort. I know this denim relaxes substantially, but for me it was too much. I want to be looking forward to breaking in a pair rather than feeling daunted! The 34 was still difficult to fasten and was initially tight around the waist, but in all other dimensions felt “right”. After a solid week of wear they feel pretty perfect and I’m very happy with them.

Hi to everyone! First time posting before studying a lot about japanese denim jeans and Iron Heart in particular, material, sizes, shrinkage, strecht and all. I was about to buy a pair of 555 21 oz in 33 or the 777 21oz in 34 for winter but it seems its sold out here! Are stocks coming anytime soon? or do you know any official EU retailer? I much rather buy via IH UK but I would need to know approximate restock date!

Regarding a restock, the 555’s had one recently and it sold quickly. The 777’s were last restocked in June so I’d imagine they may be close. One of the crew in Gosport will let you know.In the meantime:

@WELDON I too was waiting for an IHUK restock, but grew inpatient and used rivetandhide.com. Looks like they have 34s in stock. They’re very helpful and have excellent service.

European retailers restock through IHUK. R&H stock will be from the same batch that IHUK are now sold out of. IHUK normally sell out first, meaning checking retailers with websales like this, is a good strategy.

Just grabbed a pair of these, first pair of IH denim for me. It's been said over and over, but the softness on a 21oz denim is hard to believe.
Getting used to the lower rise - might take a bit. Is there another fit that is the same taper with a higher rise? (555 had too much flare at the ankle for my liking).

Don't forget, we may currently be low on stock of these but if your inseam is 32" or shorter, take a look at the IH-777S-21SI which are the same but pre-hemmed at 32"

It takes a while to work these things out… despite all the great info available. The 777 is not for everyone, but the 888 is a very versatile cut. See you over on that thread [emoji1]
