Catch of the day [Fishing]
-
Just using large topwater poppers attempting to mimic the flying fish. Where we fish from is ~40' above the water line so we've got a pretty good vantage point and we can spot when the tunas are chasing flying fish and we'll try to place the popper in it's path. I was using a 200mm Yo Zuri Bull Pop and the tuna just inhaled it, you can barely see the head of the popper in it's mouth in the pic. Also, if I'm not mistaken, the tunas are heading towards warmer water to spawn so there's been plenty around the ship over the last month or so.

Thanks G. What type of perch do you guys target over there?

Nice we have a type of those here as well red perch I think they’re called

I think I am in so much shit. Researching what I could do over the winter when lure fishing for Bass is a forlorn hope, I can across another Japanese invented system called BFS - Bait Finesse System. It is basically casting ultra-light lures (between 1 and 7 gm), with very specific rods and reels…...
Will be targeting Perch, Pike and Zander over the winter (if I buy the required kit
:-X)

@jordanscollected - You should look into BFS ^, I think it would have some great applications in the waters you fish…

That will be some great winter reading and research. thanks for forwarding @Giles. My nephew fell in love with fishing this past summer and it's all he thinks about all day. I need to stay fresh and try new things or he will be taking me fishing before i know it. I appreciate the motivation.
