As much as I have felt DJT to be an impulsive, unnerving, loud-mouthed dolt of a human being, it's getting awfully political in here. There is enough of this shit all over the rest of social media. Can we give it a rest ?

We do not allow partisan statements, nor political discussions as they have a tendency to cause the kind of rancour and disputes that would make the forum a less pleasant place to be.

Does anybody know why you cant see Engineer boots of any type on Viberg's website?
Have Viberg stopped selling Engineer Boots?

@den1mhead - Viberg sent an email out last week regarding the future of their manufacturing, and it didn't sound like an "increase" in quality to me, but instead allowing "more sustainable" resources to be used - I read it as "quicker building process" (ie. cork filled soles, goodyear welts, etc), but I am uneducated on what is better or not in terms of footwear manufacturing.
Perhaps that means engineers go against their new practices due to the increased need for leather materials?
not sure, but curious…

Having just received a new pair of Viberg's today, I can vouch for them being lighter and more flexible out of the box than they used to be. My pair has a welt rather than stitch down, which is perhaps a manufacturing shortcut, but then also easier to rebuild? Viberg seem to be claiming the channelled insole is their way to step up from other goodyear's, although pretty sure Yuketen's non-mocs have been channelled for awhile. All that being said I wanted to make the 7" domain toe cap boot work but the last didn't seem to suit, and same with the IH/DR/Wesco collab boot which is really special. I haven't tried the engineers. Would like a tea-core boot.

So after a brief exchange with @Chris about a longing to "cheers some beers" with him in the near future (this is meant to be less creepy then it sounds in my sentence structure) - I was wondering if anyone would be down to do some Zoom Happy Hours for the forum members? Since it's now been more than a year since most of us have been able to meet each other in person, figured it could be kinda fun, and a great way to get to know other people, and hear what their voices sound like haha.
I know everyone is probably Zoom'd out, but perhaps drinking and denim chat can make up for it?
Also, I know we are all in different time zones, which could either mean 1. some Americans have to drink in the Am (which has become common place anyways, right) or 2. Europeans just need more Jameson in their coffee
I'd be happy to organize if there is interest!
