@Filthy  that is a beautiful post. Thank you for sharing your thoughts about this. I think whatever gets you through is good, and if it is old school family TV and not crack cocaine or meth then that is a great thing.

Many of the Amish are sort of real life Little House.
Today Amish girls were staking tobacco and singing while working.I'm just home from work and checking the mail box and it was a beautiful moment.
But then I'm not harvesting tobacco on a hot ass day.  ::)

Those are my principles, and if you don't like them…
      Well, I have others.

Mary Ann was my crush. I kid I went to high school with got his first script writing job on Little House on The Prairie. I’ll see if I can find out which episodes.  Went to IMDB and couldn’t find any writing credit for him for that show.

that's really cool man. I hope you can find out. I think my favorite episodes are from Seasons 6 and 7 when the ingalls move to the city and they adopt Albert. I love the time period and the clash of the Old West and the dawn of the Industrial era.

@steelworker  😃 Little House is real life, in a sense. There is an episode where rain destroys Charles' wheat crop and he goes off to work in a quarry. While he is away the women of Walnut Grove band together to manually harvest the wheat so that the entire community can have enough flour and money to survive the winter.

Another great 2 part episode from Season 8, the Ingalls' second adopted son [Jason Bateman] goes to Sleepy Eye to deposit a bank note he gets for his birthday and is shot in a bank robbery. Charles, Isaiah [Victor French], and Albert go and track down the robbers when the sheriff/ law is unwilling to help.

Charles becomes obsessed with having a miracle to restore his son from his coma and reads a verse in the Bible about building an altar. He takes his son off into the mountains and spends weeks (long enough for him to grow a full beard) building this huge altar. A bunch of stuff happens and Charles and his son are struck down by lightning, and his son is restored. It was a particularly moving episode.

I couldn’t stand a few of the characters from the word go, but I’m totally hooked and into series 3.

DEADWOOD… I honestly dunno what to fucking say else way... Other than it used to being a personal top three worthy show for me... Always has been... But my English is good enough now to realise this isn't top three... It's a #1 show... It simply is the best show ever written...

If you can watch season 2 and neither cry or laugh, you're a fucking maniac... A heathen cocksucker, in fact...

Couldn’t agree with you more. I watched that series as it aired, I didn’t miss a single Sunday night. Spectacular show. Deadwood and Six Feet Under were the best of the best, I don’t think another show has beaten them since.
