Thx guys! It became really comfy over the years and still is quite dark. Washed it like two or three times.

Flo: the mynudies forum was great. But after some months you could watch it break down daily. Average Joe Dry Selvage was my gate opener to the world of selvage denim.  I remember the ironheart website these days consisted of two IH cuts and some TFH denim.

They are wonderful jackets. Having handles and worn the 19oz lefty which replaced this in many ways, they are very different beasts. The softness this attains and the lovely fading from the 21oz is quite unique.

Great looking jacket.  I had two modified ODs, but sold them because of the length.  This is the one I should have got, but I was too late.

Congrates @twism_23 , I've never even seen one FS, it does indeed look perfect in every sense of the word,

Hot diggity, what is it with this jacket? This is the one that got away from me, something that I hope both time and patience will one day rectify…

@neph93 This is neither the 526J-22OD or the 526J-19L as I believe the 19L is modified and has lower pockets. The 22oz is tagged as such and this one isn’t. This has the shorter sleeves of the earliest run of these jackets as this thread states also.

This confusion is possibly my fault. I read your post as though this was a new jacket @twism_23 . But you’re saying it is an original IH-526j-od? They stopped being made a few years ago so that is a lucky find.

I’m probably turning everyone around but the IH-526j-od had no hand warmers. It was the OD’ed version of the original traditional 21oz type III.

@neph93 easily done seeing how I wrote my original post. I was lucky to find it on eBay for $150.00. Yes an original 526J-OD. The original owner stated he bought the jacket years ago but never wore it. I read the thread on here and was concerned the sleeves may be too short but figured it was worth the risk. I have a 526L non OD but find it too long for my torso. I find myself looking for the pockets on this one but I’m sure I’ll get used to it.
