I promised I’d make this last time you posted it, but didn’t get around to it. Going shopping today so I plan to make one this week….

Two things: the lentils available at the supermarket are pre soaked. I guess that makes no difference? Just cut down on the time used in step 1?

Secondly, does that make a main for 4-6 people?! I feel like it would need to be trebled to feed my ugly bunch.

It matters not how long you cook for within reason, I leave mine going for about an hour, you just need some bite to the lentils.

I'd double up for your mob

Oh, and bunging some whole peeled hard-boiled eggs in a few minutes before serving, is delicious and bulks it up…..

Lovely stuff. I picked up the lentils and some fresh coriander today, the rest of it I have with the exception of some decent chilis. I’ll find them tomorrow.

I intentionally went heavy-handed with the chilli, ginger and mustard seeds…..

Soime of the surfiet of pears our garden produced this year, converted into chutney…...
