Yes indeed. It is higher up and further inland than the lake my wife’s families cabin is at. That still had ice on it at the start of May. The seasons move quickly up here, although the weather we are having now is unseasonably warm. June is normally a spring month at this latitude and we rarely see temps over 20C until July.

My dad fishes using kayaks and loves it.

You're in CT, correct? My father is down in Stamford and fishes in the harbor. He has an electric motor on it for trolling and general ease of use since he is almost 70.

I'm up in Newton, but have gone out a few times with him.

Me and you both. Although it is very conflicting. On the one hand I know that all this fine weather is a result of global warning and a
sign of greater challenges to come, on the other, I can’t deny it has it’s immediate and obvious charms. Another long day at the cabin…
