Is that welcomed @ROman? When we bought our house, it was an empty street way out in the woods and country, surrounded by horse farms. Now houses have been built and families moved in and its been an amazing time. A lot of open BBQs and backyard/front yard parties, etc (well, at least before COVID).

@Yogi217 , It's totally cool. Same situation here, we moved in Nov. 2011, on the tail end of the 2008 recession, when no one was building. Now 800 houses later, they are finishing up. We were told the lot wouldn't sell, but it  did. Have great BBQs as you mentioned, and have a ton of great neighbors.

The weather up here is silly so we needed to be near some cold water. Drove up to a pretty spot in the mountains, by a lake and the little ones got to play around… and Hot Ingrid got to complain about being.... well, hot.

It is a lovely place for sure. The water you see was still partially frozen only four weeks ago, so despite the 27C temps it was bloody freezing [emoji1]

Yes indeed. It is higher up and further inland than the lake my wife’s families cabin is at. That still had ice on it at the start of May. The seasons move quickly up here, although the weather we are having now is unseasonably warm. June is normally a spring month at this latitude and we rarely see temps over 20C until July.
