We just received one of our most anticipated SS20 deliveries from Iron Heart - The corduroy Modified Type III in indigo. The 14 wale corduroy holds the indigo really well so we look forward to seeing one that has been worn in over time. The Iron Heart trucker fit is a real winner with all customers and this jacket is offered from small up to XXXL.
We have also restocked the IHSH-218 "Johnny Cash" denim shirt with black warp and weft. This classic western comes in a 12 oz selvedge denim and uses black permed snaps.

The Derby Shoe is based on an original design by Edwin Viberg who founded Viberg back in the 1930s. These Canadian bootmakers with whom we have worked closely for 7 years remodelled the old patterns to refine the fit and produce a shoe that is elegant and fit for purpose for the modern day.
This Derby shoe uses Oiled Camel Calf leather from CF Stead, a tannery located in England's Yorkshire since the 1890s. The shoe has a leather mid-sole, kip lining and British made Itsole studded commando rubber sole and is 360 degrees storm-welted. This classic design will easily transition formal with less formal attire and will serve as a valid addition to any gentleman’s wardrobe.

Due to popular demand we have also re-run the Tobacco Chamois Service Boot with Commando sole and stitch-down construction.

The first drop from Pure Blue Japan's new season collection has landed. It will impress both staunch admirers and newcomers to the brand alike.
The ability to imbue fabrics with texture and character is one of PBJ's defining characteristics. The SR-019, ‘Super Rough’ denim perfectly demonstrates this. Tipping the scales at a healthy 18 oz , this denim oozes texture with plenty of slub (uneven yarns within the weave) and a good dose of nep (the random protrusion of white cotton fibres). These jeans are cut in the 019 relaxed tapered fit. Get on board and be among the first to see where this denim journey leads.
Utilising the traditional and beautiful sashiko stitch we gain an insight into PBJ’s other defining feature – their expertise and skill in fabric dyeing. The ideal complement to lighter and faded denim, the double black material has both warp and weft yarns dyed black.
Available in two classic stylings: the pleated breast Type II and Trucker Type III. Both have a modified cut which allows the addition of hand warmer pockets.
The Indigo Check Flannel Shirt's light and breezy washed and worn look is spot on for the time of year. Yarn dyed indigo threads allow for further fading to contrast with the blues and red that run through the weave.
We have also received a full restock (including additional larger sizes) of the x-019. This is their signature, slubby 14 oz denim in the Relaxed Tapered cut. Ideal for those who like a little extra room through the thigh and top block whilst keeping a smart taper.

The latest jackets from Fine Creek Leathers turn the idea that horsehide needs to be super rigid on its head. Using their own special tanning technique FCL have developed a 1.3mm equine leather that is still hefty yet supple and buttery soft allowing for an easy ride during the initial break in period.
The leather is sourced from one of Europe’s finest tanneries and veg-tanned with an aniline finish by the Himeji tannery in Japan.
This 1.3mm horsehide, like that used for the renowned Leon jacket, is also teacore - whereby the outermost layer of the hide is veg-dyed black with the layer beneath the surface tanned in a lighter brown tone. Over time the stress areas of the jacket will fade to reveal the lighter layers beneath the surface. The precise teacore “recipe” of tree barks and process is a tightly guarded secret. We do know it is time-consuming and laborious and always results in a truly premium leather.Edward is the first of the jackets to use this new leather. It is a double rider’s jacket with a quilted rayon lining, original FCL buckles, and an easy to use quality zipper by Clix which has a subtle, muted sheen. The high-quality tailoring matched by the superlative stitching elevates the style of this classic piece to another level. Wearing it on or off a bike you’re going to look - and feel - pretty darn good.
We introduced the Tyler jacket in sheepskin at the beginning of the year. It is now available in this easy to wear horsehide. The rayon quilted lining provides smooth comfort while a short collar and minimalist detailing give the jacket a modern and up to date feel.
Hiut Denim and Rivet & Hide both started out in 2012. One of our first orders was for their selvedge denim jeans. We are celebrating our relationship and close affinity with these Welsh jeans-makers with a small run of the original Kuroki selvedge denim that uses natural indigo. It has a rich deep indigo hue and offers some sharp high contrast fades with wear. Available in the SkinR fit - Hiut’s slimmest cut. ‘Do one thing well’ is Hiut’s mission statement and the proof is right here.

Earlier this year Pure Blue Japan released denim jackets with a natural indigo warp and Sumi black ink dyed weft. The jeans in this stunning and unparalleled selvedge are now available in both the Slim Tapered AIBK-013 and Relaxed Tapered AIBK-019 cuts.
Sumi ink is used in traditional Japanese art and calligraphy typically against a white background. Sumi is made using the soot of pine branches that are burned from trees found on the mountainsides close to Nara and Suzuka prized for the quality of its ink.
The indigo is naturally harvested from the Tokushima prefecture. This is the paradigm of "artisanal" and the laborious efforts involved to make this denim are clear to behold.
PBJ has released the Double Black Sashiko selvedge in 5-pocket slim tapered jeans style. Again, this fabric highlights their expertise and skill in fabric dyeing with both warp and weft of this custom woven fabric sulphur black dyed.
Pure Blue Japan now caters for anyone looking for a selvedge denim in a lighter shade of indigo. The BG-019 (Relaxed Tapered) uses warp yarns that are first dyed with indigo and then over-dyed grey delivering a lighter blue hue. Both processes make use of rope-dyeing, meaning the weft remains white, so you can expect contrast fades with wear. The weight of the denim is 14.5 oz, and as to be expected with the "Slub Masters" of Japan, has great texture.
PBJ's NP (neppy) selvedge denim released last year in the 019 Relaxed Tapered fit makes a return for those who prefer the Slim Tapered silhouette. The 17.5 oz. NP-013 has plenty of nep in the fabric, adding extra texture which allows the rich indigo to crock and fade beautifully with wear.

We've recently received a comprehensive restock of rings, pendants, bracelets, necklaces and accessories from **Good Art Hlywd. **
New in is The Cash Grab - a key ring with a tongue in cheek name referring to the Pet Rock (best refer to Google) phenomenon of the 1970s. It does, however, serve as a great and aesthetically pleasing addition to the GAH range of key rings. A fun and versatile piece with a multitude of uses in our new contact cautious times – It might not be able to pour your beer but it's still a pretty cool tool.
The Bandana Clip was originally intended as hair clip but Josh Warner, creator of all things Good Art, uses his as a bandana clip hence the name.

Fine Creek Leather's Mossir line combines the technical with the traditional, the classic with the creative, and lights the way for warmer days with the latest drop.
Owner and designer Yoshinori hails from the mountainous Hokkaido region of Japan. The summery "John" shirt is inspired in its pattern by the traditional artwork of the region's indigenous Ainu people. This is paired with a highly advanced Supplex nylon from Dupont. Water repellent and anti-wrinkle, the fabric will keep you as cool and smooth as the shirt looks.
"Gregory" utilises cordura nylon, renowned for its moisture wicking and quick drying properties, here blended with cotton allowing for an extra level of comfort to weave through the material. A relaxed, long sleeve cut further boosts the casual credentials. Able to be worn as a layer or standalone.
Mossir chose a classic half-sleeve football shirt design to showcase the vintage poly used on the "Thomas" T-Shirt and is styled with a straight yoke to both front and rear. Cotton feel to the hand, yet technical in function, with a super fast drying ability that allows you to work up a sweat and cool down easy.

The Flat Head is back with some long awaited core essentials.
The D306 jean comes in a super slim cut but still allows for a medium/high rise and some breathing room in the thigh.
For those unfamiliar with the TFH’s signature ‘Pioneer’ denim the D306 is a great place to see what all the fuss is about. 14.5 oz, solid and crispy to start, softening gently with wear. "Tate-ochi" describes in Japanese the "vertical falling" fading process and is beautifully illustrated as this denim fades out.
The Pioneer denim worn solidly for 10 months

The Flat Head plain heavyweight tees have a loyal following - it’s pretty much the perfect plain T-shirt. Loopwheeled and seamless body. Triple stitch no sag collar. Heavyweight 100% cotton fabric. FDMTL, pronounced fundamental, is a world-class, Japan made, indigo based label with a mission to "create clothes of sentimental value".
This is a cutting edge brand that looks to the future with collections that ingeniously fuse Japan's rich heritage of classic style with a modern street edge.
Creating waves after being recently launched in our stores, we would now like to formally introduce you to our inaugural season's lines.https://www.rivetandhide.com/shop/brands/fdmtl.html
The Haori Jacket neatly encapsulates the ethos and heart of FDMTL in a nutshell. The traditional flowing cut dates back to the Japanese middle ages and gives an elegant silhouette. Its construction is at once both complex and simple, expertly pieced together into a perfect patchwork whole from a range of indigo dyed fabrics. On display are revered techniques such as Sashiko, Boro, waffle and ripstop.
The Coach Jacket is thoroughly modern, practical and unashamedly classically influenced. Built to allow comfort from the touchline the wool/cotton blend body has wind breaking pull cords to the hem and duo weave storm cuffs at the wrist. The Thinsulate lining adds superior warming properties with minimum bulk. The sleeves have a traditional Sashiko design which is supremely tactile, and in a smart update the stitching is reflective for low light visibility.
FDMTL’s cardigan comes in a rich and indulgent deep indigo dye. The kimono style collar puts a debonair lounge twist onto a casual staple. Constructed with a heavyweight, flexible waffle knit it comes unstructured and unlined. An instant lounge classic.
FDMTL commissioned an indigo dyed custom 98% cotton 2% PU fabric which uses a loop-backed jersey construction for an extra layer of insulation delivering additional breathability and supreme comfort and softness.
The crew neck or pullover parka iteration demonstrates this brand's ability to fuse high end street wear with classic styling. Each features a relaxed fit with drop shoulders, hidden gusset pockets, and discreet appliqué Sashiko ‘F’ emblem patch to the sleeve. The Pullover Parka has a bang on the money oversize hood which drapes perfectly.
They sum up exactly what they are all about via their range of T-shirts. They are impeccably cut with a gentle curved hem, 100% cotton, and rope-dyed indigo. The Logo tee features the FDMTL logo in 3 styles of Sashiko stitch. The Circle version echoes this with its patch to the left breast. Both display the subtle appliquéd Sashiko ‘F’ emblem to the sleeve.

Rogue Territory hit us up with the perfect over shirt for the transitional months. Released today, their new Patrol shirt has been reimagined with a sturdy and weather beating 7oz waxed canvas in a rich olive. Shirt styling with jacket functions and the all important hand warmer pockets, this will see you through.
Merz B Schwanen's 12oz organic cotton heavyweight 3-thread sweater is now available in a deep Night Blue. Loopwheeled and entirely natural with no chemicals used in the manufacturing process, this beautiful piece quite literally wears its eco credentials on its textured and tactile sleeve.
A henley works so well as either a layering or standalone option. Extending our Merz B. range we now include the Night Blue and Charcoal in the super comfortable relaxed fitting ‘204’ cut and the storm grey in the slightly trimmer regular cut of the ‘206’. All options are long sleeve and constructed with a heavyweight 2-thread organic cotton loopwheeled construction. They also include Mother of Pearl buttons and flat knit cuffs.
MBS use the same fabric as the henleys for the long sleeve ‘mock neck’ t-shirt. The higher collar can hold its own under a shirt but also gives a bit of chill protection from any cold breezes.

We've recently passed our 8th anniversary as a store which means this is the 9th consecutive year we've experienced the sheer pleasure of the arrival of Indigofera's new season blankets. Each year brings some wonderful new designs. The blankets are made in Norway using 100% Norwegian wool.
The latest in Indigofera's series of artist collaborations is this darkly humorous depiction of the mischevous 'Kappa' from Japanese folklore. Kappa is a trickster and a demon with a penchant for drowning and stealing the life force of any poor unfortunates found in its grasp, although it is possible to befriend them and receive protection. Sightings of this mythical creature are still claimed to this day.
Two popular blankets have returned in new colourways. The Gryphon logo blanket is now available in green and the iconic Eagle now comes in a warm and natural tones.
We have had a major restock Indigofera high tapered Nash jeans in both 18 oz indigo Shiroyama Selvedge and the 14 oz double black Gunpowder Selvedge. The relax tapered Buck jeans have also returned in Gunpowder.

Up to this point ‘Stretch’ denim has never really been on our radar mainly due to the lack of options that can equal the quality of 100% cotton raw, selvedge denim. Pure Blue Japan surprised us when they revealed their new 1161-BB. Their weaving wizardry has managed to retain the ‘slubby’ texture and character that PBJ are so rightly renowned for, while sneaking in 3% PU to the mix. The resulting fabric is the obvious choice for a comfortable from the off, super sleek, slim cut, double black denim, and just in time for black jean season.
PBJ have also restocked us with the Slim Tapered xx-013 and the Relaxed Tapered xx-019 that comes in their signature 14 oz slubby indigo denim.

Chup socks are guaranteed to put a smile on your face. Their newest arrivals offer a cornucopia of beautiful designs inspired by traditional patterns from myriad cultures. They come in comfortable and sturdy cotton or wool blends with a flat seam, hand-linked heel/toe construction. If your feet could talk they would thank you.

The Studio D’Artisan Tsugihagi Work Shirt marks the zenith of Japanese textile development. It is expertly crafted with a jacquard weave that incorporates beautiful patchwork patterns and designs in order to create the whole. Details abound such as geometric etching on the tagua nut buttons. Tonal variations in the deep indigo dye make this another real stunner from SDA.
Studio D'Artisan's latest flannel is not shy, displaying the vibrant hues and tones of autumn. Unbrushed with a stiffer and more rigid hand, it is an ideal piece for layering. It comes in a slim fitting work shirt style and is perfect for adding a splash of colour to a denim wardrobe.
One of our favourite ever colourways in Iron Heart's illustrious history of Ultra Heavy Flannel design dropped this week with the arrival of the IHSH-259. These are true heavyweight flannels with brushed linings using strong but ultra soft Aspero cotton. The latest iteration comes in an attractive small block check with a red base with blues and off-white running through the weave.
The Momotaro peacoat delivers an easy go-to for a smart, cold weather option. The well thought out collar design and single breasted detailing deliver a sharp silhouette making this look every bit as good open or fully buttoned.
The outer raises the stakes with a thick and textured indigo dyed sashiko weave. Inside a quilted lining provides comfort and insulation.
https://www.rivetandhide.com/shop/brands/momotaro-jeans/momotaro-sashiko-peacoat.html
With a heritage dating back to the 1200s, ‘Kersey’ cloth is a loomed twill weave offering a dense, warm fabric, textured on the outside and smoother on the inside. Momotaro delivers this traditional fabric in a heavyweight shirt in Sherwood Green complemented by corozo nut buttons.
https://www.rivetandhide.com/shop/brands/momotaro-jeans/momotaro-heavy-kersey-shirt-green.html
The new season red check shirt from Momotaro comes in a herringbone weave to subtly break up the solid block check. This is a stone cold classic from any angle.
