Whoah, that snap is stunning @Kasi ! Are my eyes deceiving me, or is that some sexual knurling effect going on under the rosette? Holy smoke! @Giles I no longer smoke, but think I'd reach for one with the pressure of that job. I hope your bench grinder is bolted and secure btw. Good luck..

It is a goosebumps rosette 17mm snap…..So effectively a knurled pattern under the rosette.  I'm talking to Josh about doing us a run.....

Not bolted 

It needs to be mobile, so we can take it outside, so we don't cover the clothing with metal dust.....

The sophisticated walking-foot sewing machine that we use for flat seam hemming us playing up.  We can't currently get an engineer in to take a look at it.

My mother had one of those. It over 40 years old. Still have it
