I bought a pair of 888’s from seller who I will not name at this time. This would be my 3rd or 4th purchase on the forum. I have also done a size swap / trade with another member which went quite smoothly. So my experiences up to this point have been all positive, so shout out to those dudes. After agreeing to an amount for said item I submit immediate payment to seller, he also asks if I can send as gift to save him some money on the fees ($3.00). So against my better judgement, I send understanding the potential consequences here. He messaged that item shipped, and I ask for tracking info. He says there is none… tracking would have been too expensive to add, so without notice he just decided to ship without it. It’s been over a month and item never arrives. This seller decided to cut corners ship without tracking info because he wanted to save even more money on this sale. Please note in the listing he note pants had damage in cuff from drag, they were also a size too big for me. So I was taking a gamble on buying these altogether. Am I to assume responsibility for this item which has never landed in my hands? Seller refuses to fully refund, saying because he priced item so cheap he can only refund half of the purchase amount. I agree only because at this point he can just walk away and not send anything back. I don’t really have a way to dispute this because again payment was sent as gift. In good faith I even offered to pay in full if item does ever arrive. I’ve also offered references from prior transactions on this forum. So I chalk this up at a loss at this point. I’d like to note He sent me a copy of receipt but there is nothing on there that is unique to the purchase except my name that would help. I’ve contacted local post office and they are unable to locate or help without any tracking information. I’m a stand up guy, show respect and expect nothing less from other gentleman. This dude has really f#cked up that energy!

I learned the "gift" lesson the hard way on this forum as well, when I was screwed over for >200 €. I rather pay the fee as an extra then pay as friends&family or gift. The only exception are members I already met in person and see as friends who I can trust.

I accept this a lesson learned. I ignored my better judgement, also the age old PayPal rule no payments as gift.

Yeah…there is a big difference in the cost when shipping to Europe with tracking and without. Keep in mind that COVID-19 has had a major impact on the delivery of parcels, especially via Canada Post, for example. I'm fairly certain the parcel will arrive, it's just going to take a while.

Posted in the WTB thread with the IHSH-265-PUR. Got a reply from @Richardson-k. He immediately wanted to move the conversation into email, but I requested we stay on the forum. Then, when I requested product pictures, he sent 2 photos. One was a work shirt version of the flannel and one was a western

Definitely not recommend to buy from him. Bought something from him 4 weeks ago. Asked three times for a tracking number a week after I paid. Took him 12 days to answer that he'll provide that number when he's back home from the dentist. That's 10 days ago and he's just not answering anymore. Not here, not via email/paypal. Not sure if hes a fraudster or not but a communication like that is just shit and not recommended. And a parcel from greece to germany normally takes a week. We'll see. -

Hajduk is a long time member on here who has I believe proven reliable on many transactions. I’d be shocked if he deliberately were anything but completely honest, forthright, and accountable in a transaction. I hope this is just a misunderstanding and that he is OK, and that you get your merchandise.

That was my understanding, so I bought from him. However, the described facts, in this case, remain and he is entirely unresponsive. I also hope that he is okay, but would like some accountability from him; I know that IH is not responsible for my satisfaction in this transaction.

I also know that he's been unwell recently. He suddenly stop communicating with me last year when trying to organise my leg of a Jacket Tour, and Giles informed me that he'd been quite badly ill.
Things got sorted in the end though, and I'm sure there's no malicious intent here, as frustrating as it might be.
