Does anyone have any experience sizing John Lofgren desert boots?  I'm referring specifically to the desert boots, not the other JL styles.

The folks at Standard and Strange are probably your best bet here.. I wear 10.5 in the JL engineers and was advised to go with a 10 in the desert boots .. YMMV

Always been curious to learn which boot company manufacturers the Road Champ engineer boot for Mr Freedom?

Generally speaking I am not bad as this google malarkey but have been unable to find this one out.

Pretty sure that is Lofgren. Not 100%, but pretty sure.

Thanks.  I've been in touch with them previously and have been told to go with my regular Red Wing size.  Do you know what your Brannock size is @Boyo
