I became an Australian citizen a few weeks ago. I can be a dual national, though the UK passport will soon become less useful than it used to be.

My girlfriend is Ugandan, and she's allowed to retain that plus one more, which is a bit unusual.

Southern pine beetles have destroyed much of the pitch pine forest here. Beetles lay eggs under the bark and larvae tunnel through the phloem, girdling the tree. Beetles are devastating Jersey pine barrens and pitch pines north to Cape Cod and New York. They were kept in check by cold winter temps but warming winters have allowed them to extend their range.

Found the Scarlets Mill bridge. Only two like this left any more. From 1881.

It was built by the Reading RailRoad. As you can see it's not here any more. Next time we will walk the ROW.

@steelworker Beautiful place!  I imagine you see wild turkeys on occasion there.  Are you located in Eastern PA, around Hershey or central?

Grew up in WV, hence the questions?  Reminds me of home.
