Out here in LA, probably the worst place one could be in the US in terms of exposure risk, I can't even tell anything is amiss (it isn't) unless I go to a Costco.
There seems to be no way to get hand sanitizer.
The confluence of media/new media, a lack of basic critical thinking skills and education, and social media fan the flames of overreaction. More crucially, it is fueling broader political decay globally, but I will leave that there.

Oh, that does suck.
My wife is trying to scheme a way for us to go to Japan this year, since airfare had dropped to near comical levels. Unfortunately, I don't have enough vacation time to make it viable, though I'm gaming out ways to make it work.
As you can tell, we're terrified of Covid-19 in this house.

i've actually had a look too! cheap hotels and cheap airfares. how good is it! the only worry i'd have is that tourist attractions and places you wanna go to might not be open..

Annual staff outing was going to be tonight. Staff and other halves…..
We were all off to see Michael Kiwanuka at the O2 Academy Brixton.
The show has been friggin' postponed....

Yep, that's one of the concerns. We'd hate to go and then find everything locked up like Wally world.

Extremely odd. Was that in some kind of contract? It doesn't seem fair when you can only enroll once a year for a health plan to move the goal posts.

Odd but I bet when he does get sick it is 100% covered for zero out of pocket. As opposed to here where premiums and copays are bankrupting people.

That's really odd that your insurance can tell you that if you travel abroad they won't cover your medical costs.
Is it the same if you drink and get liver disease they won't cover you?
If you don't run will they not cover you if you get heart disease???It‘s a private health insurance… they can exclude some benefits. It‘s not about any medical costs, they just said, they won‘t cover the costs if I would be put in quarantine. An other problem is, I am self-employed two weeks quarantine would have a huge impact with a full diary. But however, ANA has canceled my flight anyway.

Excluding benefits is one thing… Changing the benefits that are excluded between contracts is another. Worrisome to think about.
