I have 6.75” wrists and I prefer a lug to lug of less than 47.

What Chris said, the lug to lug is more important than the diameter. The height can make things weird too.

If it’s a tall watch with a small diameter it feels weird, like you’re balancing the watch on your wrist.

I’m on a small watch kick right now, less than 40mm for me unless it’s a diver.

You kind of need to try it on and decide for yourself. Sometimes a big watch makes it look like the watch is wearing you, not the other way around. Then again, there are folks that don’t care and just like big watches.

I’ve always liked the INOX watches, especially since I’m a Swiss Army knife devotee, they are overbuilt without looking like a metal turd on your wrist.

        Thank you.

You brought up a good point: I'm not a fan of watches whose height is > than 13mm and I just noticed the Inox comes in at 13.6mm. I'll try and find a local dealer to try on for size.

If I'm being honest with myself, I've had my eye on the Khaki Aviation Pilot Pioneer Chrono for quite some time and, it's just been released in what I feel is a more appealing colourway. I've yet to be able to track down any figures concerning case height but, it doesn't appear to be overly thick.

Unless you're looking at quartz movements, finding a chrono under 13mm is going to be tough.

I don't imagine I'll ever be anything other than a quartz guy. It's not in my cards to have the kind of disposable income to become a "watch enthusiast" so, why bother?

That's a handwinder, right?  Those are a bit thinner than automatics. Not too many manual chronos, though.  The Seagull movement, the Russian 3133, then I think you're into either vintage or in house high end brands.

I'm with @Anesthetist, though- used is the way to buy.  Watch prices are too crazy otherwise.  Cuts too deep into my other hobby budgets…

Just got a few of these straps after reading rave reviews about it. I have to say I’m not disappointed. This is easily my most comfortable strap

I’ve been chatting back and forth with him and he’s a super nice guy. Fair warning though: he’s a one man shop and he does all his own sewing, so the wait can be a few weeks. All the elastic straps are to your wrist size so they’re not premade.

A little while ago he got Reddit famous so he had a monster influx of customers.

They look similar to the Erika's Originals straps.

Ericas straps are a lot stiffer and use a different method to attach to the watch. Her straps are basically a big loop like a NATO. Nicks straps involve looping the elastic through a metal keeper. There’s no material under the watch head with the hook strap

I vastly prefer the hook strap over the MN style strap.

                                  Thanks @DougNg.

I thought that Nick's straps were a similar design to Erika's, I hadn't paid that much attention when I checked out his website. They do look good, and I'll have to investigate when I get a new watch.
