I have a pair of 634s arriving tomorrow and I’m beyond excited! I’ve spent the last couple weeks obsessively measuring and remeasuring every pair of pants I own and looking at the sizing charts for almost every model Iron Heart offers haha. In the end I landed on the classic and I can’t wait to put them on!

That’s what it’s all about! Someday I need to buy a pair of 634S. I have Vulcans and the 1634 but still not these….

These were my first IH jeans and I loved them. But alas I lost weight and sold em off. Wish I had kept
Them for My twilight years when I’m 290 again.

        Maybe so. Maybe not

And this is one of the reasons IH is so great. Their attention to detail in measuring means that you are 99% likely to get a spot on fit.

If I ever haven't, it's generally because I didn't listen to @neph93 and othe forum folks and bought the wrong cut/style  😉

This thread has been cleaned up to remove some of the more personal comments and misunderstandings from the last week. I have maintained posts relevant to the discussion of the 634S (critical or otherwise), and some of the harmless banter.

Well look at that. Research paid off for you, that is a classic fit. Well done.

                  Thanks neph93!

Now I need some cuffing advice from you guys. They're hemmed to a good length for just a single cuff which is what I was after. Do you like to iron them to help them stay in place? or any other tricks?

I very rarely cuff so I’m not really the guy to ask. My feeling is that I wouldn’t iron them though. Do that and they will have to stay that way for life as I’d imagine it would leave a very clear, long lasting mark.

@Trc22 I don't iron cuffs as I have found from experience that it accelerates wear on the crease lines. I now simply fold the cuffs in place when I wear them and unfold the cuffs when not wearing them. I find the exact position of the cuffs changes ever so slightly which negates wear on a single cuff fold line.

What @den1mhead said. Exactly what I do, and I've had now issue with wear on cuffs. I would also advise that the hem of the cuff sits just an inch or so above the laces of laced footwear, just to minimise the risk of additional friction.

You might also notice prolonged (minimal) shrinkage in length over multiple washes, so consider that when chuffing.

Thanks guys! After just two days of wear these are breaking in so nicely, and are amazingly comfy. I can tell they’re only going to get better.

Sorry if this has been discussed before, but my size 36” 634’s have developed a lot of excess material along the outside edge of the thighs.  These ‘wings’ have been getting gradually worse this past year to the point now where I am no longer wearing them because of the way they look.  Just wondered if this was common, if they could be altered at all or if not then is there a better cut that would suit my frame more?
Current measurements: waist:18”, front rise:11”, back rise:16”, leg opening (level with crutch seam):13 3/4”, leg width at the knee:10”, hem:9 1/4”.  Any advice much appreciated.
