Ay, with these I have found out that the classics ARE the ones, like my 461's. At least with elderly gentleman (?) like me. (just turned 47 btw)
and about the cuffs, Geo, I think we can agree here that official cuffing is as follows: Cuff only once and width of cuff is 1 1/4" to 2". No less, no more ;-))

ha, it is a pendleton. I got the same but in size L tall. gotta do something about it, got it so cheap that I couldn't say no..

same reason i landed mine,,mines an L,,fits ok with just a t-shirt,bit snug with a hoody,,but i likes it

Little update on my 634's,not to much in the way of fading but i'm more than happy with these,im currently selling of all my other jeans and keeping only these and my pair of 9634z's.

Pics of my 634S's so far, easilly my favourite jeans. Bought in November 2009 from Hinoya in Ueno Tokyo. Been wearing since Feb 2010 when it hasn't been too warm and also rotating with other pairs so no major fades or contrast as yet. However, I think they're showing promise for the future. Planning on giving them a seawash in August so I'll post again then.

Tagged waist 29 stretched to 31 on the nose.  Chainstitched to 33.

one initial soak, 4 months wear, one cold soak yesterday.

Kit, get them snug to begin with, they stretch up to 1.5 inches in the waist. I wear a 33 and got a 32, they're
perfect now.

stretch em.  i sized down by 2.  i have both the 9634z and 1634 sized down 1 and they stretched very quickly.

Yeah, size down if you have chicken legs and skinny ass. Othervise get other model…

The employee at SE was really helpful and nice!  I'm a TTS 32 (muscular thighs from exercise) and wanted to try on a 31 and 32 per your advice.  Unfortunately they only had a 33 in stock but it fit pretty decently so I'm leaning towards a  32 as the right size for me.  Still got a tiny doubt on the back of my mind on whether the 31 would be better though.

Beats, prob an inch in the waist so plenty of room.  The thighs were not loose at all.
I also tried on a Buster in 32 and could not pull them up all the way.  No bigger sizes avail
