Fresh from Momotaro this season is a 16 oz selvedge denim that oozes character and texture. This new sanforized fabric comes in the familiar Tight Tapered 0306-82 (medium rise, slim thigh & strong taper) and High Tapered 0405-82 (higher rise, extra room on thigh, strong taper) fits. Made from American cotton, it is woven under low tension producing a textured and crunchy denim guaranteed to age with style.
0306-82
Another new addition to the extensive range of Momotaro denim is the 0605-70 Relaxed Tapered jeans in the popular 13.5 oz slubby denim. They are both sanforized and one-washed giving them a super soft handle. The relaxed fit make these a go to comfort pair of jeans hanging in your wardrobe.
0605-70
Momotaro also bring us two new shirts this season. First, a simple yet elegant red selvedge flannel work shirt has got your back in the cooler weather. Next up is a slightly dressier shirt in indigo jacquard, with a low-key floral pattern and subtle bellows chest pockets.

Sporting a slim fit with iron buttons, it has the Momotaro signature pink selvedge ID and painted white "Battle Stripes" on the left arm.

Iron Heart goes technical. On the face of it, the IHJ-80 is a clean and simple, military-inspired mountain shell with external pockets and a traditional cotton tartan lining. But hidden inside is a hi-tech breathable, waterproof and windproof film bonded between the inner and outer layers. Perfect for braving wet and cold weather in style, without looking as if you’re off to the Himalayas.
It’s ideal for layering with, say, an Ultra Heavy Flannel, and the raglan sleeves and adjustable hood allow for comfort and protection. Six external pockets and a snap-closure pocket inside keep your kit safe.

Brand new from Iron Heart are the IH-555s-142bb jeans. Medium to high rise and super slim, they are made from 14 oz selvedge denim with both a black warp and a black weft. The warp is black sulphur rope dyed while the double twisted weft yarn is black sulphur dipped. The poly/cotton constructional stitching is black to match. Over time, the denim will fade to grey.
These jeans are sanforized and one-washed so you can expect little to no shrinkage, though the waist will stretch out approximately one inch as you wear them in.
Back in stock we have Iron Heart’s 21 oz denim in the super slim 555 cut. A perennial favourite, the 555-01 is a modern classic with an old-school feel. Perfect for the colder months ahead.

Brilliant!!

I have an XL Sky Valley also and is a beauty for sure! However I can't wear it with anything thicker than an IHTL-1501 or similar otherwise the forearms get too tight. Looks great with a tee though, especially in LA.

Iron Heart's classic N1 Deck Jacket has always existed in a class of its own with its all-through alpaca lining (including the hand warmer pockets), whipcord cotton outer and storm cuffs. We did not think it possible to improve on this until they delighted us all with the new indigo dyed version. A beautifully even tone to start, this will age with some definite élan.
In addition, the Khaki N1's were recently restocked.
We also see the return of the Heavy Moleskin CPO in the remarkably smooth and super sturdy cotton Moleskin. All the expected detailing and hardware are present including hand warmer pockets and oversized logo’ed copper snap fasteners. A rich, deep navy colourway makes this year’s iteration an absolutely spot on layering piece.
Iron Heart's final Ultra Heavy Flannel release for 2019 comes in a stunning blue tartan check. 12 oz of double brushed Aspero cotton goodness and a perfect fit.

The Fleurs de Bagne "Commando" pullover combines the old - WW2 Commando exploits, the new - Schoeller technical virgin wool, the East - Sashiko patches at shoulder and collar and the West - French design and style.
The indigo sashiko is woven by Kuroki Mills in Japan, and provides hard-wearing protection at the shoulder and elbows. The Schoeller wool is exceptionally tightly-knit by Guedel in Brittany, and is both highly wind and cold-resistant. Indigo-dyed, you can just imagine how good this sweater will look down the line. The perfect piece to layer under one of our jackets to keep you toasty through winter.
The "Knit Flows Like Water" sweaters are 100% wool and 200% miraculous. By some strange magic known only to the Japanese artisans at Nine Lives these sweaters can both expand and contract to a remarkable degree, such that they come in only in a Medium and Large relaxed fit but never look stretched, tight or baggy. The heavy gauge wool is super soft with zero level of scratchiness.
With a longer, biker-inspired hem on both the body and sleeves and ribbed texture, the sweaters come in Navy and Sand.https://www.rivetandhide.com/shop/brands/ninelives.html?categories=266
Back in is the Kalamazoo, a beautiful piece that functions as both shirt and jacket. The heavyweight sashiko fabric requires very specific tension settings on the loom and different amounts of thread on each bobbin to create just the right amount of non-uniformity and texture before submitting to a traditional green-cast aizome dyeing process.

New arrivals from Momotaro include shirts and a canvas Type II jacket.
First, is the 05-251 Block Check Shirt using a rich deep red and black check fabric with a contrasting white stitch for a sashiko look. The breast pockets provide a visual accent by using the same material placed on a diagonal bias, and the seams are triple-stitched. The overall silhouette is slim.

The 05-242 Corduroy Shirt is a rich indigo with a small random dot-like pattern. The moderately thick fabric is immediately comfortable on the skin. The cutaway collar has an opening that is almost horizontal, and when the top button is undone the line draws a gentle and beautiful curve. The brown buttons, made from corozo nut, provide a further visual accent.

The 03-125 Type II Jacket uses a plain weave, high density canvas in beige. With staples such as placket action pleats, box stitching and waist adjuster buttons, it carries Momotaro’s distinctive “Battle Stripes” on the left upper arm. The metal buttons, discreetly decorated with the peach emblem, add a final flourish. Interior storage pockets and hand-warmer pockets make this a very practical jacket to wear.

Anyone who owns one or more of Iron Heart’s Ultra Heavy Flannels will be familiar with the unique qualities of Aspero cotton which grows in the wild in Peru. This thick, tough and super soft cotton now provides the slubby yarns for the UES Denim Puca Purcara sweatshirts. They are woven at low tension on the Tsuri-ami hanging loopwheeler machines at Wakayama, Japan. They are insulating, windproof and their voluminous nature has an almost wool like texture. Available in grey or navy.

The UES Extra Heavy Indigo Flannel really lives up to its name, pushing the limits of what can be achieved with a selvedge fabric and beautifully demonstrates the capabilities of a classic schoenherr loom. The outer face is super textured with a clear ‘nep’ background which pushes the rich, deep indigo to the fore. Intense brushing to the inside gives the feel of a heavy fleece delivering a softness of hand along with the warmth and heft more reminiscent of a sweatshirt. Brushing an indigo dyed fabric in this manner also introduces a lighter indigo tone to the inner garment. Style, comfort, insulation and superior construction.

A simple, but elegant indigo sweatshirt from UES in a 100% cotton waffle knit. The white thread in the material gives a subtle sun-bleached feel to the piece such that it feels smart yet worn in at the same time.
