Watches - another OCD problem

Maybe thats all right.
But I want not to have skin contact with the devils stuff plastic.
Meanwhile plastic is everywhere. In the air, ocean, meat, in our childrens and our bodys…microplastics
But technically I agree with you! -

Tough enough anyway

Tried on the new Omega Seamaster in Vegas last month…meh
I like the previous generation better. It's so...loud...I guess it would fit in if I lived in Miami and wore lots of shiny clothes.
Also tried on a few Carl F. Bucherer watches because of the John Wick connection...no, just no. They're fucking huge. Thought if I slapped it I would turn into a giant robot.
Went into the Rolex boutique too and they basically had bare cases. They're pushing the drought pretty hard. From what I can gather from social media people are getting tired of their shit. I had a fistful of cash not long ago for a Pepsi GMT but didn't want to play their stupid games, wound up spending it on a bunch of other stuff.

I think that Rolex is trying to regain control of the brand/image. The Grey market dealers and flippers were making it impossible to buy watches that were in demand without paying a premium. Jewelry stores then started the if you want to buy a Daytona (or any other hot watch), you go on a list or buy this watch you don’t want and then we will sell you the watch you do.
I hope that this is just a short term blip (5 years) in sales/marketing and will return back to some sort of sanity.

Dunno, did you wash your hands? Especially your thumbs…

If you don't want to be an amateur proctologist, Zenith have collaborated with Bamford and Mr Porter to produce a limited run of the A384.
The big difference is that it's a sandblasted titanium case, rather than steel in the standard model. Oh, and that lovely blue dial. But I think that they missed a trick in not matching the date wheel colour.

Lange dips its toe into the stainless sports watch fray.

Perhaps it's not their most original work, but they figured out a way to make it their own:
Internally, as to be expected, she's a thing of beauty:

I love the dial, the movement, and the case but the bracelet fits the lugs like an afterthought. I know it’s intentional but the small lugs and a wide bracelet look really odd….

Bracelet is hideous, though nicely finished.

Speaking of disappointing bracelets, the brand that seems to get ripped on that the most has produced IMO one of their most beautiful pieces:

My favourite Grand Seiko dial at the moment is on the Godzilla special edition. Plus I prefer straps to bracelets.
The only branding is everyone's favourite Kaiju stomping on the Seiko building on the back.

As for the Lange Odysseus, I think that the bracelet looks a lot better on the wrist, such as in this video from Monochrome.
I'd prefer it if they'd gone for a mille mailles style mesh bracelet, like on this Blancpain, or maybe a simpler design such as used on the Zenith Defy a few posts up.
