@Chap great boots! Creeping around these exact Chelseas for a while…
what about sizing in these compared to other Bergs?

Got them in the same size as the service boots @jay-cy

Thanks! So I need a 12.5 which isn‘t available. 13 should work then.

I’m a 9D in RW Iron Rangers…I have an opportunity to purchase some natural CXL service boots in either 8.5 or 9, and I’ve received advice to size down to the 8.5 to account for the extra width of the 2030, AND I’ve had others say to go with a 9 (sigh). I’ll be ordering from Canada, so I’d love to get it right the first time...for those of you that own 2030s and Iron Rangers, what is your sizing recommendation?

Oh, and I am a 9 in the narrower 2050-lasted Chelsea boot.

If that is a US9 then I suspect 8.5 in the Vibergs is correct. I base that on the fact that Viberg use U.K. sizing.

I can't say about Viberg, I go TTS with RW @dreigh

I'm sure everyone thinks I am flaky for tearing up my shoes. But I just wanted to show you how much wider my feet are than the profile of the shoe…

My shoes are still a little snug with the insoles so I am stretching them out a bit.

And you can see an indentation of the sole into the foam.

My foot is every bit as wide as this insole is.

Even though they are snug now, they are so much more comfortable with the new insoles and no arch support.

Was lucky to find these a few years ago. Epic rare boot in my opinion, I have Viberg horsebutt service boots as well (see lots of service boots), but this was a unique find, and love the fact I've never seen another pair in the wild.

I've received countless questions and compliments about these boots.

This is a pair of Viberg Black Waxed Flesh Country Derby boots…like all exceptional boots, they absolutely feel great to wear even at 2lbs a boot! 🙂

                    Sorry for the crappy pic....

two weeks ago i saw quite a big viberg collection in beriln.
for me the most interesting boot was this one:

                      cheers, TAA.

Ha! Finally another pair….obviously a man with superb, exquisite, and sublime taste, and undoubtedly incredibly intelligent and handsome as well......LOL LOL.

                      Did you get these?

These are the country derby in brown waxed flesh; going on four years; veritable tanks. I’ve never conditioned these. They only get a brushing maybe once a month.

Thanks @Seul ! Out of 4 Viberg boots, all of which I like equally, this pair gets the most use…something about them just beckons to pull them out of the closet and on the road.

Yes, the Country Derby are tanks, but like jeans, one pair is never enough. Hit the Viberg site, they sell a nice Viberg Conditioner for Waxed Flesh boots, beeswax, very light on the fingers, give the boots a clean, then a nice coat of the wax conditioner, and it'd take you another 4 years to get them looking like that again.

Since this is a Viberg thread, here's my pair of Viberg Bourbon Shell Cordovan and my Viberg Mahogany Shell Cordovan boots, sometimes I just never want to take these boots off. All size 12D.

Forgive the picture, laundry room at the back of the house….:-)

Have to take a pic of my Brown Horsebutt Service boot, sometimes hard to tell they're not shell.

Have Alden Indy 403 and in Shell, as well as the Shell Brixton Brogues, and they feel great, just in my opinion, nothing supports and holds the feet as well as Viberg.

Alden, Allen Edmonds and Viberg are all my preferred brands, tried a few others, but I failed to grok them.
