I tried these on when I was in Gosport. I’m an XL in IH shirts and I tried the XL and L vests. I found the L ok with just a tee shirt, but even that was a little trim. I could wear the XL comfortably with a flannel and undershirt and will go with that one day. My conclusion is, go with your shirt size.

You got the XL eventually @neph93 ?

@Signal11  I did indeed. On reflection it was the right choice. Despite missing the option to wear it over one layer, the XL is the more flexible size for me.

Thanks @neph93. I feel the same way about my size L.
The main reason for me to order this vest was for wearing it over my 35 while riding my motorcycle. But now I got it I find it's such a great vest, I would like to wear it all the time! With one layer the vest feels a little too big but with multiple layers like wabash or denim, the size is good.
Also as AdamC mentioned, with a smaller size comes shorter length. Not good if you are wearing an untucked shirt.

I think the length was the important thing for me too. The chest if the L could fit over layers but as you say too much going on beneath the end of the vest is odd.

I just saw your shot of it over. Type III on WAYWT and it looks very, very good.

One tip, start conditioning the leather now, before it even looks like drying out. I use the Chamberlain stuff that IHUK sells.

Fantastic. Love the coordination with the Wesco’s.

True. I used Obenauf’s and I like it even better now!  😎

11C in the sun. Bloody lovely. Summer ends in the middle of August up here.

It's been absolutely lovely here as well… 17C° and rain... But 11C°... Sigh... Not yet...

And just out of curiosity: what was the highest temp you got during summer?..

We had one super warm day when it touched 30C. That is very unusual (but probably won’t be going forward, the way things are looking). Generally it was an above average summer. Having a week of 20C plus temps and sunshine is normal, we had about three such weeks this year.

                              Hi folks,
I ask regarding sizing. Thinking about getting one of these.
                              I am 185cm and 100kg - I wear XL in the N1 Deck jacket.
Comparing sizing I think xl should be good for me.
                              What do you think?
                              Thank you.

                              Greetings from Germany.

Depends how much layering you want to do in my experience. I have an XL and it works over a UHF (also XL), or a hoodie. I could wear an L over thinner shirts or two tee shirt layers.

I also have an M but that is another story…

Buying the C3 is one of the best decisions I have done. I wear it mostly on my motorcycle but it's so confortable that I can use it for everything else.

They really are great, aren’t they. Good to see another one out in the wild. That is a cracking pic too.
