By far, the best single malt I ever tasted. For now the only 2 states that sell it here are Tennessee, and Florida.

Alipus San Baltazar Mezcal. My first from this distillery,as my liquor had a sale on them. Hands down the best I’ve ever had.

Nice! I think mezcal may be my favorite spirit. I hope you've tried it neat. IMO the best way to experience a quality mezcal is in neat sips out of a vessel that puts scent front and center, perhaps with sal de gusano and fresh orange on hand between sips. YMMV.

@mclaincausey Have to admit I had never heard of sal de gusano, although I have had orange slices with mezcal. I knew that gusano meant worm as I had spent some time with really bad cheap Dos Gusanos mezcal when I was younger. My next round of questions…. Is there a brand of the salt that you like, and where do you get it? Do you drink mezcal out of clay copitas? Thanks.

So I’ve discovered that my liquor cabinet grows at a 5:1 ratio to my liquor library.

Great life guys, thanks for sharing a great pic with a lot of beer.

I love the copitas but I've not sprung for them. I think that the worms they use for the salt live in the cacti used to make the mezcal. I just order from Amazon. Sal de Gusano (Flor de Sal) 100g https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BZVLSDV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_7LhmDbNNRBKPH

Great use of Ramazzotti from Mercantile in Denver, CO. Going to need to play around with some at home.

After dinner, we had some Amaro Montenegro with lime. I'd not tried that before but it was great!

I believe this is the first bonded straight wheat whiskey produced in the US. Delicious, and almost smooth to a fault.

Some local bitters that impersonate old fashioned elements, and an old fashioned element for the first cocktail.

Ultimately added ango and wish I had brandied cherries. I guess I'd call it a doubled OF with bitters doubled by what they're impersonating. Can mix quite a bit of this smooth spirit in with those ingredients for a delicious cocktail.

                              Here's a fun recipe I made today:

                              -3 shots of rum
                              -2 Coconut bars
                              -3 Pineapple bars
                              -1/4 cup water

                              • 2 or 3 ice cubes

Combine in blender until smooth. Serves 2. 🍹

Blantons,if/when you can find it. All the Cask Strength Makers Mark is single barrel. Just looked up to see where you’re located, and if you can find the Blantons Gold Top bottles that Blantons makes especially for the European market,it’s out of this world. Pretty expensive, about $110 US. Last time someone brought some back for me.

Blantons Straight from The Barrel is next level. I have a bottle at home that I take out for special occasions. The JD,while not technically bourbon, is OK. I wouldn’t turn it down.
