For completeness sake, I put this here.  One of the most amazing 30 minutes of fishing I have ever experienced with @neph93

Saltstraumen, incoming spring tide.  Wow, we lucked out…..

It was something else wasn’t it. Saltstraumen delivered for sure. And to think I was worried you’d be going home without a bite only five minutes before it kicked off [emoji1]

On another note, am I to understand that you stood in your own garden fly fishing for that tench today?!

Yes, but when i say I caught it on a fly, i mean I had a fly (a freshwater shrimp pattern) tied to the end of the line, which I presented on a tiny spinning rod.  It was like how I fished for Minnows as a child, but with an artificial as bait.

I made the pond 2 feet deep, so there is quite a volume of water in there.  But the fish is in super condition, so obviously doing well…

How I imagine a conversation between G and Paula would go.  Maybe, someone can fill in the blanks or add to the conversation.

G:  Hey Paula, can I go on a fishing trip to….
Paula:  Didn’t you just get back from one?  This makes the ..... this year.
G:  (deep thought for a while). Paula, Can I build a tranquility pond in the garden?

@Giles has more game than that. He invites @Madame Buttonfly on a trip to northern Norway to see the midnight sun, the beautiful scenery and cute cabins. Just so happens that Norway is ripe for fishing trips and we knew Paula and Hot Ingrid were going to get get on like a house on fire. Boom… everybody's happy
