The Iron Heart Forum Triangle of Terror Type III Trucker Tour 2018 - Updates thread

My leg is done and the jacket shipped today to @scooter in the USA. I had to skip the ceremonial beer as it complicates things massively in Norway but there is another Norwegian treat in with the package. I also sent a copy of the new IH look book along as tour kit:
Took some snaps of the jacket as well.
It is magnificent. Hot Ingrid was sad to see it go. I’ve never bought her IH, nor has she wanted any, but now her eyes are opened it may be that an OD type III will be her first piece.
Looking forward to the next leg!

Cool evo! Interesting that it has more of a fade to grey look. I thought it would've had more of an indigo fade based on pics from the 526Lod thread. Either way, the tour jacket looks great

The 19oz is a stubborn fader, except at high abrasion points. It goes white pretty quickly there. I think that with the kicking this thing has taken, when the black goes, the indigo does too.

Alright, here goes my first update. The jacket finally made it to my neck of the woods, last Friday, after a 9 day journey across the pond. Unfortunately, I was in the midst of a 10 day/12 hours a day stint, for work. So, I wasn't home to sign for the delivery from Norway. Here's a couple of shots from the job site( @steelworker might relate )…
I found some time on an extended lunch break, Tuesday, to drop by my local PO to pick it up. 12 hour days tend to leave me drained. So, I don't do much, other than shower, eat, walk the dog, check mail, and have a beer or 3, before hitting the rack. I finally commenced with the unboxing, today. The jacket is amazing. I gave it a quick fit check, but was not able to wear it. Summer came to Wisconsin with a vengeance, last week. Temps around 90F, and ridiculous humidity levels made it a no-go. Forecasts for next week are looking better, though.
My 12 year old daughter returned from a 2 week trip to Poland with her mamusia, late this afternoon. We started the long holiday weekend off with a trip to the park, for some Independence Day 'works…
That's half of her head, on the left. ::)On tap for tomorrow… some time by the pool, pizza parlor Friday, and a night of music at Summerfest.

Great update! What type of industrial plant is that?

I'm a steamfitter, employed by an outside contractor. I've spent a total of 24 days, over the past two summers, at this facility. So, I'm by no means an expert, when it comes to their operations. From what I was told, they've had an issue with winter ice accumulation in the scrap coming from the yard. What they have built is being used to remove the ice/water prior to melting. The company is Charter Steel. They specialize in bar, rod, and wire. They have rolling facilities on site, as well. My primary duties have been replacing/rerouting lime line, and installing new stainless steel oxygen lines. With the money they are throwing around, I assume they are doing alright.

My apologies, everyone. Work, personal commitments, excessive heat, and a PC that became non-compliant some weeks ago, have all put a damper on my leg of the tour. I have managed to take pics, in the meantime, though. I am picking my PC up from the shop, this afternoon. I will try to have an update (big photo dump), by the end of the weekend. I'm also planning for a visit to the Harley-Davidson Museum with it, before the Labor Day weekend. I plan to have it in the mail to @DrBabyhorse, by next Saturday. Hopefully, September weather will bode better, for him.
