Thanks to @thomas01 I’m now the proud owner of my first pair of IH denim and my first pair of heavyweight denim above 17oz. These jeans are amazing, but I mostly like them because they’re the Pronto collab and I really dig the blue W stitching on the back pocket. The brown weft is pretty cool too. The thickness and heft are unreal.

The fit is pretty darn good. I did pre-soak and post soak measurements and only saw a .25” loss in dimensions with a hot water bucket soak with no agitation.

My question is, can I expect further shrinkage with future washes? I usually do a cold water bucket soak, inside out and hang dry. I believe these are sanforized but unwashed correct? I still need to get these hemmed so that’s why I’m asking about shrinkage. I used to hem all my jeans at 32” to allow for a single cuff, but nowadays I prefer uncuffed and can get away with a 31” inseam if there’s no more shrinkage to be had.

Can’t wait to start wearing them. Of course, spring/summer is just around the corner so may have to wait

I love those jeans,and find them to be pretty versatile as far as a wearable temperature range goes. I’m having a tough time getting them flat to measure the length,but mine shrunk about 1.5 inches after being put into the drier. The get really soft and comfortable.

Have 110 days in on these. Probably 10 washes.Finally got around to doing some Macro shots of the denim. They were taken at ISO 8000,F11 at about 1/30 of a second. Hand held with an image stabilized 100mm Macro lens.

Been meaning to do some more Macro shots of this denim.Finally had the time today 146 days,and lots of washes in. I'm more of a vintage fade guy. I definitely struggled with focus and the color. Really makes me appreciate what Sam accomplishes.

@Dion Thanks. This denim doesn’t get a whole lot of attention/love. It’s really cool. Don’t know if the brown weft scares people off. For what it’s worth I’ve been wearing them all summer in NYC humidity with no problem. They definitely rival the 21OZ for breathability,and softness. Wish I could have a CPO out of this denim.

It's not a real contrasty fade as I tend to wash them more than most. Took some pictures of the inside of the jeans which came out pretty cool/interesting. Switched to 70-300 lens which has Macro capabilities,and helped me a little with focusing.

@Jett129 Those are some particularly brilliant fades. The roping looks really good—something to look forward to in my straight leg version.
