Thanks to everyone for your good wishes. I’m back home now. This what the ankle looks like now
I think this repair job is an overkill for the damage at hand. I suspect a regular old cast would have accomplished the same result at 20% of the cost. Same reason so many births are c-sections nowadays. Anyhow, foot is on the mend.
Congrats to all the cool outfits during WAYWT week. Enjoying your pics made my downtime at the clinic more bearable.

Was it a clean break? I had pins put in my elbow 19 yrs ago after a bicycling accident. A cast probably wouldn’t have helped

My wife and four of her friends,one of whom,is married to Paul McCartney,went to a private rehearsal by the band and had lunch with Paul afterwards. Her feet haven’t touched the ground yet.She said he couldn’t possibly have been nicer. She’s been friends with his wife since the second grade. The girls were getting together for lunch today and Nancy asked if they wanted to come to Pauls rehearsal.

I don’t know if it gets any better than that. Always nice to hear when a celebrity of that caliber is so nice,charming and engaging. They didn’t go to a fancy restaurant,just sat on couches in the rehearsal studio with Paul, and the band, eating salads. Pauls main concern was that everyone had enough to eat.
