Having both this sbg and the superblack 101J, I much prefer the way the sbg ages.  An 101J-sbg would be awesome.

Thanks! I'll post some photos of the fades thus far. Its stubborn, but I wear it almost daily. Perfect weight for winter layers and spring/fall.

Endangered/No restocks means there aren’t any available in Japan and there is no production run ordered.

Judging by Giles and Alex’s comments it will be done again but there is no rush (most likely because of supply chain issues like how much of this denim is available or some such). It means it is in limbo.

If it was a core «Extant» item then the restock notification option would be available. Watch this space.

I'm getting back into this jacket and have turned the sleeves back down.  They've now wrinkled quite a bit and aren't so obviously way too long.  I really like the nicely knackered look this denim has.

I'm really surprised this jacket didn't do better.  So far, I still prefer it to either of my ODs, because of the shorter cut and nice, grey fades.

Not that I know. A general rule of thumb is that if it ends up in The Outlet it has sold too slowly to warrant a rerun or the fabric is finished and won’t be remade. Either way an Outlet item is verging on Extinct.

If a rerun won't happen it actually makes sense as the 9526PJ is almost an identical jacket. The only difference being that it stays black.

There’s a big difference between the sbg and the superblack. Sbg is muuuuch more forgiving. Superblack denim is like armor for the first two years—even if you wash all the time. My 9301s (superblack jeans) have been around for over 10 years, and they didn’t get soft until like year 3. And I always wash/machine dry.

Time for an update.  I've been wearing this a lot recently and it's now starting to show quite a bit more grey.  It'll only get better.  I sold my two ODs and kept this, so it must be doing something right.

Some bad news for the fans of red Ws - despite the sample having a red one, and us requesting that the production run keeps that, the factory got confused and moved the red W back to black (as it was on the original IH-526-SBG). Clearly, it's not worth the cost and environmental impact to send these all the way back to Japan to be restitched, so we will have to live with the black W on this run, and adjust on future runs...

OK, So more bad news (for some) and good news for others. After some investigation, I have worked out why the red W was omitted...

Unfortunately, despite us specifically making a new sample (pictured in OP), requesting size changes from the previous jacket (IH-526-SBG), and adding the red W (per sample in OP), somewhere in Japan a mistake was made, and the old IH-526-SBG was rerun exactly as it was. This means that the run that has been recently delivered is not like the sample in the OP at all, and is infact just a rerun of this old product:

As such, I will lock this thread for a period of time. We will 'restock' the old jacket next week, but we will be pushing another run of this model, with the adjusted fit, red W etc through as fast as possible for those of you who prefer a longer body.

Sorry about this guys, but for those of you who like shorted T3s, and pockets, you may have hit gold...
