This is what my new IH-GAH St. Christopher pendant/keychain lloks like in use.

So happy with it! Best motorcycle keychain ever!

I took a low side spill this morning riding from Tafi del Valle to Cafayate (Argentina).  Luckily I had the IH/GAH St. Christopher keychain with me: bike in fine shape, rider with  bruised right ankle.

You can see the where the piston dragged on the gravel. I think I fell because my right footpeg dragged hard on the curve tarmac, made my bike sit up, ran wide and slid on the gravel…not 100% sure but that is what I remember.

Looking over my bike after one of my riding buddies helped me right it. I’m wearing that yellow rainsuit because it was cold, drizzly and very foggy when we set out this morning. Still cold but very bright by the time I slid out.

Bu the way, can anyone recommend nice patches or adhesives for my rainsuit? It has several small tears after I slid on my backside.

That low wall kept my bike from going downhill for a rough and rocky 20 meter drop which I’m sure would have rendered it unusable before a lengthy repair job. So, I’m convinced St. Christopher was big help!

Laden with a swollen and painful anke I decided to take it easy, stop for a day and ice the ankle. Lucky me, this happens to be Cafayate, one of Argentina’s top wine and dine destinations.  😉 ;Did

Glad you're mostly ok.  As for the rain suit repairs, maybe try Tenacious Tape?  I haven't used it yet, but Patagonia likes it for their repairs program, so it probably doesn't suck.

As with the other posters, I'm glad that you're in one piece, and that there doesn't appear to be any serious damage apart from the rain suit (and pride).

Shame about having to take an unscheduled break with all that fine wine and dining…

Perhaps Gorilla Tape can help  8).

Thanks all for your good wishes ( @Bfd70 , @Chris , @Giles , @Graeme and @Aetas ). Ankle still swollen and tender but I think it is improving so I plan to ride on tomorrow.

I won’t be able to try out the Tenacious Tape and Gorilla Tape solutions as they aren’t available here. I’ll need to order them so it’ll be some time before I can report on results.

I’ve been using my 8” White’s Farmer Rancher boots on the bike but the gusseted tongue won’t let my swollen foot inside. Luckily I brought another pair of boots (IH/Viberg hikers which I bought off @Appfaff ) on this trip and which takes my fat foot in without flinching. It looks funny though once they are laced up. I’ll get a pic tomorrow.

Cheers from the land of Malbec!

Your most generous offer is accepted! Thanks guys. Got the double indigo shirt already stacked and waiting on the madras work style…so I’ll be in Spain early June, and I’ll request you send that package there through the proper channel.

Here is a pic of Viberg/IH hikers handling uneven feet, no sweat, but looking odd.

Right boot has an extra inch at the top part of the lacing.

that would be a cone knuckle motor (a cone shovel/evo bottom end with a knucklehead top end, i believe s&s makes them) in a drop seat panhead frame

Late reply, but I can attest to Gorilla Tape's quality…

When I was doing a 30day field training event in the Army, I blew the crotch out of my uniform pants during a 20km movement drill.

When I got a chance I took the pants off, flipped them inside out, and tapped the tear from the inside.

*Uniforms are ripstop, so the tears were minimally frayed.

The repair was so good that I forgot about it totally...

When i got back home and washed my uniforms, i noticed the tape after removing the pants from the dryer, and it was still intact... Those pants lasted for another few months and MANY wash & dry cycles before I cycled them out of rotation, but they could have definitely lasted longer.
