@Giles I just got an email about Sonder Supplies, is this operated by you guys as well? I didn’t see anything about it here so just interested to know. For the record I don’t mind getting the alert email either way and will stay subscribed to see where it goes.

Very grey (possibly black), that is why we were very transparent and made the unsubscribe very easy.  But on balance we really feel that what we will offer will be of interest to people who are interested in Iron Heart.

Thanks. Interested to see what comes out of it. I was just wondering because Monme was a thing and then it wasn’t, but that was announced here first.

@Kacakembun I tried on one of the Railcar chore coats last weekend in Los Angeles. I would describe the sizing as American true to size. For reference I wear a 3XL in Iron Heart shirts and jackets and the Railcar XL fit me well. Hope this helps.

@Kacakembun if you wear a medium in Iron Heart I’m sure you’ll fit in a medium Railcar. If you’re unsure send them an email. Their customer service is great.

Anyone know if IH has ever done a 14oz black denim jacket? Not including the Ovsrdyed denim they produce. Either black fade to grey or super blacks or some other iteration (aside for OD)?

                          Thanks!

I’m pretty sure the answer is no. There hasn’t been a superblack or SBG iteration of either of the versions of the 14oz denim to date.

A post from @Giles recently on the samples thread, suggests that may change however…

I know it’s all a matter of personal preference and how you intend to wear the item, but generally speaking, for a trucker jacket (type 1, 2, 3), how much of an increase do you go up in chest measurements?

For example, my tailor measured my chest as 41”, what would be a good p2p size for me if I intended to wear the jacket well fitted over a t shirt?

                                  21?
                                  21.5?
                                  22?

What would be your advice or personal preference?

I saw you posted in waywt, what is the p2p on that jacket and what's your chest measurement?

The p2p on my jacket is about 22” and my chest is around 39-40”. I typically only wear tops in the 22” to 22.5” range.

I’m not sure that knowing your chest measurement and using it as a bench mark will really solve that issue if there is a meaningful difference in armhole height that affects where the jacket sits.

Your chest measurement is a fixed line measurement on your body whereas the line of the ptp is decided by the same the same variable you find problematic, namely the height of the confluence of the armpit seams. So your body stays the same but the ptp is going to move over or under that line depending on cut.

What you’re struggling with is the differences in cut and design and the issue extends to shoulders, body length and a the horizontal tapering throughout the body. At some point then trying things on is the only true way of seeing if you like the fit of something.
