DAVID DE GEA!!!!! BOY HE'S GOT HIS CONFIDENCE BACK!
So does the whole damn team. Fuck yeah that was a good win! I believe Ole also proved he can manage and put a strategy in place. The first half Spurs struggled with Ole's tactics and couldn't get a whole lot going. Second half was a different story obviously once Spurs adapted to Ole's tactics and changed formations.
With that being said, we still need to sign a god damn CB though and we can't ignore that weakness. I'm a broken record I know but holy shit we can't keep getting away with giving up that many chances. We need a proper back line in front of DeGea to really get back to the level we need to be at. I think we can get close with the signing of a solid CB, preferably Koulibaly…hell it needs to be Koulibaly.

@manufc10 @louisbosco If Spurs don't finish in the top 4 this season I reckon Alderweireld could be tempted away by Utd to be honest.
Utd seem compelled to spend 30m on a Centre Back every season or so, one of them has to be decent eventually

Lindelof is a 30m spend that actually has been doing very well lately so maybe he will be the one.

Indeed he does. Again I'm a broken record but we just flat out need a world class CB cause we don't have one at the moment.

i feel that, given time, bailly and lindelof can form a good partnership akin to ferdinand and vidic. however both of them seem very injury prone and a little rash with challenges at times. especially bailly..

Yep. Bailly has so much potential IMO and I think he could learn a lot from Koulibaly if he ends up coming here, Lindelof as well.

I'm a temporary Liverpudlian today. Hoping for total and utter humiliation…
-
No Virgil van Dijk though. That's never a good thing.

Despite the lack of goals at Anfield yesterday I really enjoyed the match. BM were well organised and disciplined, it was hard and intense. On another day LFC would have won it by a goal but I think 0-0 is a decent result to take to Germany. BM are going to have to attack and they showed last night that they fear us.
-
I'm disappointed. Liverpool were way too impressed with their opponents. Still hope for a most unpleasant surprise for Bayern in the second game. Please….

Wow Ajax up 2-0 already on Real Madrid.
-
holy shit
wow, we did it.

BLOODY HELL YES!! i woke up about 0411(GMT +8) for a piss and we're 1-0 up. then PSG scored and i thought fuck it, i'm going to bed. woke up about 0700 (GMT+8) and a notification from the news says "united through to quarters…" and i was thinking "fucking hell no way".
the teenagers played well. they we're lucky PSG's shots didn't end up in the back of the net as well. and for once, i'm thankful that pogba didn't play because if he was on and that penalty was given, boy i'd be having a heart attack.

I followed it live on one of my apps (no video, just a live commentary feed) and as it was hitting 90 minutes I'm thinking dammit…we aren't going to pull this off. Then 3 or 4 minutes into stoppage time PENALTY TO MAN UTD pops up and I'm thinking no fucking way....so for the next 3 or 4 minutes I'm staring at my screen and pacing like I'm waiting for my third child to be born urging the scoreline to change from 2-1 to 3-1 and sure enough...GOAL Rashford pops up and I couldn't fucking believe it.
Nobody gave us a chance before this leg...I mean NOBODY. 10 men on the injured list and 10 men who have been legit first team starters under Ole (with the exception of Sanchez), 2-0 down from the first leg and playing in Paris for the second. This was damn near a reserves squad. When I saw Lukaku put the first goal in after two minutes I though ok...we came to play and we've got a shot here.
I can't imagine how any Ole doubters would not be completely silenced at this point. No longer can they claim "we've only played poor competition".... "it's still a honeymoon phase"...."if it weren't for De Gea"..."any manager who isn't Mourinho could have came in and done this"....etc...
The way Ole has this squad organized and united (no pun intended) is amazing. I can't see him not getting the job at this point. Sure we still have work to be done and we could use a world class signing or two but what a turn around we have made. So good to see.

OGS is being used in marketing material for next years season tickets and his new contract with Molde (signed in September and lasting three years) has magically disappeared. It’s a done deal I reckon.
Oh nice, sounds like it is a done deal indeed. Well deserved.
Also, so nice to see Lukaku in beast mode again. Of course it's good to see every player at Man Utd playing to their full potential but so good to see Lukaku get that confidence back.

With all that being said though, PSG have really made a habit of choking and under-performing in the champions league. It poses the question…are they really that good? Are they as good as we think they are? Sure they tear it up in the domestic league but let's be honest, Ligue 1 isn't exactly the most competitive league in the world. The second place team in League 1 has 54 points which would put them in 7th place if they were in the Premier League.
