Was looking at the Hinderer XM-18 3" flipper again… Just gotta remind myself that a) nothing will beat the Sebenza in sheer practicality, quality and "fit" and b) I have a bleeding 475$ back-up knife in the form of a Ti-Lock I never use...

      It is perdy though...

@DougNg your last sentence reminds me of an Uber driver conversation I had once.
Driver: "So where are you from, I hear an accent?"
        Me: "Mississippi"
Driver: "Oh cool, are you carrying a knife?"
        Me: "…yes..."

        Think it, be it.

I have a 3.5" Hinderer XM18, it's a nice knife, but heavy and I really don't need anything in my day to day that would require such a robust knife.

Little known fact: I worked Rick Hinderer's table at the Las Vegas Classic show over a decade ago and bought the prototype XM18 while I was behind the table (first dibs!). Sold it awhile ago, but it was cool to own for awhile.

Glad you still are enjoying your Sebenza. My Sebenzas are still some of the few high end folders I still own. I've really pared down my collection of knives.

Carrying a small Sebbie now. Only other I have in that  price range now is a large Curtiss F3. That one is too large for EDC but ideal for camping. Also always have a sheath knife and a multi tool when camping.

Yeah I've heard it before that it's pretty "bulky"… Maybe I'll just try a Spyderco Delica... Again... This itch needs scratching  😶

Might want to take a look at this one too.

I have both the Delica and the Native 5, I favor the ergonomics of the Native 5. Nicer action in the pivot too.

Thanks. Found a Belgian store selling this. Ordering in a couple of days. Going with black FRN handles.  😎

I think you'll like it. The pivot action will be a lot like the Sebenza. It uses a bushing system that's similar.

I would go with the FRN version as well if I were in the market for another locking knife. I already have the G10 version and it's unnecessarily heavy for a knife of it's size.

It is Parkerized, but generally, I'm not sure that tool steel is what I would want in that format of a knife.

Nice, please share your thoughts when it comes in. I believe the Native has been around since Spyderco was still pretty new, and the fact it's on it's fifth iteration is a testament to it's timelessness.

                                        Now then there's this:

                                        I'm all over the ZT0022.
