He plagiarized in season 1? If that’s the case I want the person to get credit for
Their writing…. but season 1 is amazing regardless of who weots whatThe King in Yellow and Carcosa mythology were taken from Robert W Chambers. I don't recall whether there was attribution on that, so unsure whether plagiarism applies.
The misanthropy of Rustin Cohle is where True Plagiarism occurred. The work "borrowed" from, Conspiracy Agaisnt the Human Race, is almost unreadably misanthropic and dire. You might feel like Marty enduring one of Rustin's melancholic rants reading the damn thing.
That’s funny. One of my favorite moments form that show is when Marty is impatiently waiting in the car for Rustin and he says “ who walks that fuckin slow?”

Read this today which shed a little light on TD S02. It's a post from a year ago, but Nic Pizzolatto apparently confirmed today on Twitter.

THE I.T. CROWD - don't even ask me why I've never watched it, I just don't know… I mean: written by Linehan (Black Books, Father Ted)... With Richard Ayoade...
Twelve minutes into the first episode and I know I'm gonna enjoy this...
Oooh, you have a fun time ahead of you!

You finished s.1?! So much promise but so little plot development. Gave up three episodes from the end ‘cos it EAs doing my head in.
Same. Suck, suck, and more suck

I’m sure, but that’s a mighty low bar. Its like a cavity filling being preferable to a root canal

So long as someone gets shot in the face or crushed by a falling piano once in awhile I’m pretty happy.
If I wanted to put more brainpower into things I’d read a book (I only read nonfiction) and learn something or get back to work and make $.
My job requires me to be creative and think most of my day, so getting out of my head for a bit is requisite.

Saw the first episode last night and it is very promising. Lower key and currently less weird than s.1 was after the first episode. More grim realism.
I love s.1 and I’ve seen it three times. but it wasn’t as amazing as a lot of people made out. The ending was underwritten and poorly conceived. Likewise, S.2 wasn’t as bad as everyone made out and the ending was heart wrenching.
We just started TD s2 last night as it is reduced on Amazon Prime. I really like it a lot. I think I left enough time between s1 and s2 to not risk too much comparison.
They are clearly stand alone pieces, and in that sense are only comparable in the sense that Rocky and Copland are comparable…similar input, very different output!

Currently watching American Gods. I’m a Gaiman fan so it is sort of high stakes but I’m really impress so far. Bodes well for the tv version of Good Omens.
We stuck with about 5 episodes of s1. It got old a bit quickly for me. Ian McShane was the best thing in it. He's come a way since Lovejoy.
